Horrible missed call at the end, the only way I can understand it is if Sutherland was looking up at the puck to make sure it didn't hit the netting and he didn't really get a focused view of the hit bc he was looking so high up. The back official isn't going to call it bc it's considered Sutherland's call based on his proximity. Either way it's a horrible miss and quite honestly I'm glad Vinny managed to walk to the locker room after getting a misconduct rather than have to go on a stretcher. Just a bad bad miss.

But Pelech also sees Zib prior, stops and possibly braces himself for an accidently on purpose type of play. There's no shot it gets looked at closely. Yes, no balls to make the correct call late in the game. I don't give a shit if he's a rookie or not. That obvious penalty is called in practically every situation except when a team is pushing in the last 30 seconds of the game. If the game was in the 1st, 2nd, or early in the 3rd that penalty is called 100% of the time. How many times are penalties not called in close games late in the game when they should be?
