Horrible missed call at the end, the only way I can understand it is if Sutherland was looking up at the puck to make sure it didn't hit the netting and he didn't really get a focused view of the hit bc he was looking so high up. The back official isn't going to call it bc it's considered Sutherland's call based on his proximity. Either way it's a horrible miss and quite honestly I'm glad Vinny managed to walk to the locker room after getting a misconduct rather than have to go on a stretcher. Just a bad bad miss.

Brutal non-calls. Two hits from behind and the Refs swallow the whistle.

Dominated the 3rd but did not get a ton of high danger looks from all that possession. Islanders block a lot of shots. You have to adapt. Shoot and crash the net. This teams shoots from above the circles too much with no intention of crashing and/or shooting for a deflection.

If they showed up the 1st period they win this game. Islanders suck.

Honestly, there was just too much good hockey to properly enjoy tonight. Philly has a must win game and gives up 9? Devils eliminated? I am so glad I have HULU, I may go watch these just for the entertainment value.

The linesman tonight seemed particularly bad. Every faceoff took about 30s and had at least 1 guy thrown out.

The refs swallowed their whistles at very odd times. That Trocheck hit at the end was very dangerous and Varlamov blatantly tripped Vesey.

But alright, we'll take the L. Regroup, learn from the loss, and go win the conference. Not worried about the Kansas City Islanders or any of the other teams competing for the WC.

The Islanders are clearly a very mediocre team and their record reflects that. They're lucky as hell to be in a position to make the playoffs. We would beat this team if we get that match up.

I don’t want to see Roslovic anymore. We are better when Jones plays vs Trouba or Lindgren. Hope Mika is ok, or it’s going to be a disappointing ending to this season.

By far the better team 2/3 of this game. Varlamov has always given us headaches. The fish aren’t making the playoffs anyway. And, if they do, I’d be shocked if they get past the first round. Blocking shots like that during the regular season leaves you worn out. Right, Torts?

Dress Rempe next time. Learn your lesson. Scratch Roslovic or J-Brod — you have the luxury to choose which one.

I thought it was really strange that he was dressed against the Habs instead of the Isles. This is the kind of team you want him in against.

Refs sucked.

1st period was horrendous. We were the better team after that but it wasn't enough and their goalie was good.
Shesty was our best player, then Fox. Bottom lines did a good job for most of the game.

Likely doesn't make a difference to the result but missing that boarding call on Tro shows just how poor NHL reffing is. That's a very dangerous hit
