Dominated the 3rd but did not get a ton of high danger looks from all that possession. Islanders block a lot of shots. You have to adapt. Shoot and crash the net. This teams shoots from above the circles too much with no intention of crashing and/or shooting for a deflection.

If they showed up the 1st period they win this game. Islanders suck.

You just can't play a first period like that, you can't come out that poorly and you can't fall behind 3-0 early. Sometimes you can climb out but even dominating the next 2 periods all we got was 2 pp goals.
Hopefully Mika is okay.

That missed call at the end was abhorrent considering the fact it happened 6 feet from the ref and was a blatant boarding. How can the league say they care about player safety if a blatant boarding right in front of the ref at the climax of the game doesn't get called? Like that's not even playoff officiating, in the playoffs the blatant stuff gets called and if that was missed in the playoffs to lose a playoff game the discourse in the media would be insane.

I am a known Brodzinski hater. He was ok tonight. But just ok. For every decent play he makes, he makes another play where he is mishandling pucks, falling down, in the wrong position. But again he was ok. The 4th line was good. But that doesn’t mean you get put out there with the net empty as one of the 6 on the ice. That’s inexcusable. And then that p***y does absolutely nothing to Dobson after the hit from behind on Trocheck. f***ing p***y.
