1+4 in the last two games (after 1+1 in the first 9). Good stuff, good stuff. Scored with a lovely wrister tonight.

Well, I was at the game last night, and to be honest he was mostly invisible apart from a 2-on-1 with moses which led to a goal and him scoring the last goal of the game. Even on the powerplay he didn't get much done, no passes that stood out, he actually had quite a few giveaways on the PP and ES. I'm pretty dissapointed, since I was expecting a lot more. Although it can also have something to do with the whole team actually being pretty bad on the PP and Kalpa actually played prettty good PK. That being said I guess the points and effectiveness do count for something

But the wrister on the goal was sick, the placement has perfect.

Does anyone else think he shoots like Gaborik?

*sits back and waits for people to criticize for thinking I said he's as good as Gaborik :)

Saw 3 games this week and I have to say I don't like what I havd seen.

Teukka has been almost invisible and that's not good. He has 1 or 2 flashy plays per game but he isn't able to produce anything. I don't know if it's because this team has been pathetic the whole season or what. Last season only thing we were missing was solid goaltending and now that we have Irving, who has been solid so far, our offence can't do crap.

Teukka has been struggling in faceoffs and I'm beginning to think that he won't be ready to play as center next year in the NHL (The faceoffs aren't the only reason). Now I see him having the same kind of entry to the league as Mikael Granlund where he'll need at least a year in the AHL.

Today I saw a bit of Juuse Saros (2013 4th round, 99th overall by Nashville) and he looked like a solid prospect. Although it was only one game I saw lot of good things in his game. He's only 5' 10" but he is able to track puck well and not allow any easy rebounds.

Overall I have no idea how the Jokerit have been succesful this year when it seems like everytime I see them they always struggle. And the same goes with TT...

Remember that Steve Moses was out after the international break and will be until the end of the year. TT is pretty much the only centre they have healthy right now as well.

Well he has like 6 goals and 8 points in ~20 games so he hasn't been a factor neither.

And Hahl will help them in faceoffs but I still think they should go after another center. Maybe get some pressure off TT...

Yes, Moses has been rather ineffective since January (I have doubts whether he really is even KHL calibre, he's not Tim Stapleton for sure )but was finding some kind of form before the break and he made Teräväinen's line at least a working one.

Jokerit fans have been calling for a new center since summer but... And now Kurri's too busy travelling around North America. Not that Jokerit fans much hopes he'd find a that centre in the first place.

Tim Stapleton is my favourite :D But I have my doubts about Kurri. I think he's too focused on team Finland. There was some talk about Wellwood but I think that's gone. But yeah, we need a center.

TT is a "floorball dude" - as some scribe described him recently. He will have his growing pains for sure - noway he is NHL ready next season. Well, you can always hope...

It's not like a year playing against men is going to make him worse. If he can play anything like he played in the pre-season, he will play in the big club next year. He might even get a few games in the NHL/AHL this season, if he goes back after Jokerit finish their season.

It's not only a question of TT's performance, but also the Hawks' depth. Granted C isn't something we've been deep at lately however we could have any of Pirri, Kruger, McNeill, TT, Danault looking for a place to play

I don't think he's ready to play center in the NHL next year. As much as I hoped it I don't think he's ready for it..

It is always possible he will play wing. Our LW situation is pretty fluid.

Keep in mind that next year Pirri is no longer waiver exempt (meaning if they want to send him to Rockford they'll have to put him on waivers first) - and that might impact things. wrt McNeil and Danault, I don't think Teuvo will be competing with them for the same place - they're completely different kinds of players.

Why would they even consider sending Pirri to Rockford? He already lead the AHL in points LAST year. He has now played 15 games as a Blackhawk and has looked good as 2nd line center.

Since being moved to 2nd line center...
9 games, 3 goals, 3 assists, 6 points, +4
Pro-rated: 82 games, 27 goals, 27 assists, 54 points, +37

I think the 2nd line center is his to lose. Which means barring trade/injury, he'd have to beat out one of Saad, Versteeg, Sharp, Hossa, Kane, Bickell, Shaw to make the team. I can't see that happening and there is no reason to rush him anyways. He is only 19 years old. Let him add strength, get used to North American ice/style, and develop his skills in the AHL until he proves ready.

Brandon Pirri so far
15 games, 5 goals, 4 assists, 9 points, +6
Pro-rated: 82 games, 27 goals, 22 assists, 49 points, +33

Those are great numbers for a rookie thus far. He isn't chopped liver.

Like I said I think he'll need "the Granlund" approach into NHL. He struggled as well in his first year and IMO they are pretty similar players with TT. Now he seems like he's miles behind Granlund and Barkov what it comes to young centers playing in finnish league. I saw him play in the preseason and that raised my expectations but he has been somewhat a disappointment this year. I don't remember which wing he played last year but if the Hawks have shortage at LW and TT can play the position, I think that would be his chance to play in the NHL next year. I love the guy and he really is a "floorball" guy so a year in the AHL would do him good.
