The Q is a high-scoring league.

CHL is high scoring in general. That said, he was a healthy scratch once early on and had some injuries so it could be a combination of poor play (perhaps a let-down feeling after a good pro camp).

Both he and Poirier seem to have some chemistry and lighting it up lately. Will be interesting where they can take the Olympiques.

With the puck, he's as gifted as anyone can be. Seriously. Some of the moves he pulls off are ridiculous.

It's all about whether he will overcome his weaknesses and learn how to harness all those gifts at the pro level. That remains in question.

I have had the opportunity to watch him a few times with Gatineau, he is as advertised incredible skill... However he is tiny and while nimble isn't very fast. It helps he plays with Poirier he makes tones of room for everyone.

Gatineau has a very good team this year, I see Reway as a terrific Jr but I cant see his game transferring to the NHL level. He isn't a Gallagher type player, think Kane but smaller slower and more risky.

Good player, Magical hands and very good offensively but need to add muscles to his shape

1402 goals in 205 games in the Q for 6,84G/G
1439 goals in 198 games in the Ohl for 7,27G/G

The Q is living on his reputation, the Ohl has been the less defensive league for quite a few years now.

I follow the OHL and even I know it's a myth that the Q is higher scoring. For years now the stats just haven't borne that out. In fact, a number of times, the WHL has had the highest scoring average. And the Q is also the best lately for percentage of draft picks to the NHL that pan out.

The Q has more PP's in general, so the scoring gap between top players and third liners tends to be larger than in the O and W.

After a 5 pts game, he now has 29 pts in his last 14 games.

He's now the 12th best scorer in the Q (outproducing Poirier).

Wouldn't surprise me to see Drouin and Reway at #2 and 3 by the end of the month.

Reway - one of my favorites alongside Johnny Hockey...

How is he outproducing Poirier? Reway has 32 points while Poirier has 36...or did you mean in that 14 game span?

Could there be a comparaison made between Reway and Teuvo?

I doubt that Reway has the upside that Teuvo does. Especially at the pro level.

That being said, I'm shocked at how well Reway is doing. This is good news for the Slovakian WJC team. They'll have a lot of talent this year.

32 in 20 games vs 36 in 23 games.

Oh ok in terms of ppg, but even then its just a difference of 0.04 ppg between the two. But what I like about Reway is that he's been getting better every game, he's at 1.6 ppg despite his cold start so if he keeps this up, he could turn out to be a steal of a pick.
Good thing the nucks picked Subban ;)

I wouldn't count Reway out. Apparently the biggest knock on him was his attitude which he's seemingly turned around. He was the best Habs prospect at the camp earlier this year by a fair margin. He was just everywhere the puck was. I know it's only a camp but it was the same thing people were saying about Gallagher(who similarly only had one flaw(skating)) and how he wouldn't be that good despite him being dominant in camps. At the moment it's looking like a blessing that Vancouver took Jordan Subban.

I would agree, Reway is by no means a safe prospect and is a project in a lot of ways. That said it is worth mentioning as an 18 year old he surprised a lot of people in main camp and shows some flashes in his preseason game of both what he could become and also what he needs to fix/improve.

Reway - Gaudreau - Teravainen - similar upside. Interesting to see if any of them will be an impact player going forward.

2 more pts for Reway. Now 34 pts in 21 games... up to a 1.62 PPG. He's now 11th in the scoring race.

And he's carrying Gatineau's offense on his own recently:

November totals
Poirier: 9 pts in 7 games
Reway: 17 pts in 7 games

It's only a matter of time before he's third behind Drouin in scoring.
