Vatanen hasn't been that bad. Still not great but there are bigger problems. I think that he's improved.


Or maybe he's that bad but Jokipakka and perhaps Määttä catch my eye more.

I didn't catch the 1st period but saw the first two games though. You're probably right. The whole team looks asynchronous and it starts from the first passes on the blue line.

Hoping they get better. And Laine for example had a few really nice shifts, that's good news.

Laine had some good defense and shadowing on Patrick Kane that shift before the penalty.

I'm not sure why Laine is doing a defenseman's duty, though. I guess he figures that he's better at it anyway.

Everyone in the World knows we are going to have scoring problems and he doesn't even use his biggest pp weapon.
