Can something like this be worked out?
Anaheim helping out for a draft pick?
Anaheim helping out for a draft pick?
Why would the Sharks want Nylander? Can something like this be worked out?

Same reason they are linked to Tarasenko and Dumba, I imagine. Why would the Sharks want Nylander?
Cheap one year deal to trade for a 2nd at the deadline?Same reason they are linked to Tarasenko and Dumba, I imagine.
Luckily Nylander is already on a cheap 1 year deal and has more value than a second at the deadline!Cheap one year deal to trade for a 2nd at the deadline?
So instead of trading Karlsson for pieces, we trade him for one piece just to trade again at the deadline?Luckily Nylander is already on a cheap 1 year deal and has more value than a second at the deadline!
Karlsson is a lot more difficult to trade than Nylander. So instead of trading Karlsson for pieces, we trade him for one piece just to trade again at the deadline?
He's also worth a lot more than Nylander.Karlsson is a lot more difficult to trade than Nylander.
I dont agree. He's also worth a lot more than Nylander.
Why? Because he's a forward that just likes to skate a little farther to reach the net? He's also worth a lot more than Nylander.
Please watch hockey, I'm begging youWhy? Because he's a forward that just likes to skate a little farther to reach the net?
I will never understand the infatuation with this guy. Be who you are and stop pretending to be a defenseman. Treat him like a 5th forward and evaluate him as such, but nobody should ever have paid him anywhere near $11.5M AAV because he's some sort of unicorn defenseman.
He. Never. Plays. Defense.
Call him a 100 point forward who never bothers to pay attention when the other team has the puck, and pay him the (still hefty) amount that such a designation deserves. But things like him getting that contract, let alone winning Norris trophies, is just nonsense.
You don't understand because you don't have a good understanding of what hockey is. He is a defenseman. He plays defense. He just doesn't do it in a way that pleases you. That's really all it comes back to. You just don't like how he plays. He is not a 4th forward jumping deep in the offensive zone all the time. That's a caricature that has been made up by people and ran with it as their go-to way to slam a guy they just don't like play a game. Why? Because he's a forward that just likes to skate a little farther to reach the net?

Oh great. Another thread like this. Why? Because he's a forward that just likes to skate a little farther to reach the net?

I dont agree.
Karlsson's term is a detriment with his current cap hit.Karlsson has term while Nylander is a rental
Nylander is probably gonna want 11 at 8 years.Karlsson's term is a detriment with his current cap hit.
Oh, is that what we are gonna do? Make up a worse case scenario and then pretend its a fact? LolNylander is probably gonna want 11 at 8 years.
I understand there are lots of ways to play while on the ice. I'm not asking him to throw open ice hip checks or be a monster in clearing the crease. But you'll never convince me that he's actively engaged in neutralizing the opposition, as opposed to just waiting for his next chance to play offense. You don't understand because you don't have a good understanding of what hockey is. Erik Karlsson is a top 3 player in the world. Who cares about his style of play? Why? Because he's a forward that just likes to skate a little farther to reach the net?
