So essentially the second pinto accepts the offer a player is heading out.Garrioch said the team has now offered 2 x 2.

Yep. To be specific, we are going to have to take a decent asset and give it away, with a pick attached, to compensate for the fact that our GM is a moron with zero experience in managing a cap because he has never had to do it before...So essentially the second pinto accepts the offer a player is heading out.
Because Joseph has a 3m caphit with 2 years left after this year. This isn't a contract that has value on the open market. This is a contract you have to pay a hefty price to offload.Rather than add a sweetner why not just accept less than what Joseph's value is on the open market something like Future Considerations or minor league player. If a sweetner must be added I would add Brannstrom for a 3rd rd pick since his role is easily replaced with Guennette/Kleven/Larsson or Matinpalo, Ottawa has plenty of decent defensive depth especially since they got Thomson back.
Then add Brannstrom who can easly be replaced & frees up more money.Because Joseph has a 3m caphit with 2 years left after this year. This isn't a contract that has value on the open market. This is a contract you have to pay a hefty price to offload.
Considering how many 'good ol boys' are still running clubs, Brannstrom probably has negative value because he doesn't drag his fists on the ice as he skatesThen add Brannstrom who can easly be replaced & frees up more money.
I swear half of your 28,000 posts are about wanting to trade Brannstrom. Then add Brannstrom who can easly be replaced & frees up more money.
Clearly someone will need to go. And if it’s brannstrom it’s brannstrom. But don’t say easy to replace. Look how long it took us to find competent d men. Nearly a decade. He’s a good d man. It’s good to have good d man and they’re not easy to findThen add Brannstrom who can easly be replaced & frees up more money.
To be fair, it took us a lot g time to find top 4 d, replacing Brannstrom means finding a bottom pair guy.Clearly someone will need to go. And if it’s brannstrom it’s brannstrom. Well yeah that my point. Good bottom pair d are not hard to find lol. Ones that can step up into the top 4??? Harder. To be fair, it took us a lot g time to find top 4 d, replacing Brannstrom means finding a bottom pair guy.
Then again, we've had some pretty awful bottom pair guys in the past...
I think @Aragon just misses having Carkner on the bottom pair, can't really blame him.
Well, I think Kleven will be one eventually, but in a different mold.Well yeah that my point. Good bottom pair d are not hard to find lol. Ones that can step up into the top 4??? Harder.
We got several guys in Belleville who could step in, he's a 3rd pairing D man, we still have a great top 4 & Hamonic is doing fine.Clearly someone will need to go. Does replacing Brannstrom need to be replaced by someone as good? I don't think so, he's a commodity right now, one we should hold onto while we can but understand that he is expendable if needs
In reality anyone can step in. As long as you’re a man or identify as one. That’s the only prerequisiteWe got several guys in Belleville who could step in, he's a 3rd pairing D man, we still have a great top 4 & Hamonic is doing fine.
Isn't the NHL an open league, anyone can play, regardless of gender, as long as they are good enough to convince someone to sign them.In reality anyone can step in. As long as you’re a man or identify as one. That’s the only prerequisite

I don't think Joseph's contract requires a "hefty" price to offload and Brannstrom certainly isn't easily replaceable with what we have on hand. Certainly not by Kleven at this point in time.Because Joseph has a 3m caphit with 2 years left after this year. This isn't a contract that has value on the open market. This is a contract you have to pay a hefty price to offload.
Nah, it's about 90%. LOL.I swear half of your 28,000 posts are about wanting to trade Brannstrom.
We’ve struggled with depth everywhere. Forwards as well. We can’t trade Joseph and give assets to move him.We have struggled for like 10 years getting good bottom pair defenceman who can play up the line up and still play good.
But now we suddenly have 3-4 of them?

You can trade kubalik if you want and lose 25 goals. His replacement, I doubt gets close to 25 goals.
Again…10 mins, not that important on this team and still very small and questionable for playoffs.
