Well sure, but if you are trying to figure out which team is the better team, the team scoring some greasy goals while carrying the pace of play for the vast majority of every game is clearly better than the team who is generating a handful of quality scoring chances per game and scoring on an unsustainable percentage of them.

To be fair, if Barkov's goal wasn't legit, neither is Wennberg's OT goal.

Anyway, same as against the LAK. Noone cares how close you were or weren't. What matters is winning 4 games. Losing in 5 Games vs losing in 7 Games with a triple OT in G7... it's the same end result.

Refs suck. Lucky bounces. Injuries. You have to win the cup despite those things.

You do realize that pretty and greasy goals count for the same right? Like there's no style points, counts as 1.

It's obvious FL is trying to get to the front of the net and get greasy type rebound or "luck" goals as you call them. Have they been fortunate on some of these? Sure. Is this also by design? 100%. They're carrying the puck to the high danger areas, it's almost impossible to beat Igor clean (except G1 Tkachuk and G5 Lundell.

Counter that the Rangers have scored an insane amount of highlight reel goals, dekes and perfect shots yet are down 3-2. Idk if this is copium or what but all goals count the same in the POs.

It's a similar logic to saying a team sucks other than the goalie. Goal is part of the team, and part of a team strategy.

Alternatively, you create your own luck. When you have 100 shot attempts, you're bound to get bounces. Flukes happen when you're pinned in your D-zone taking a flurry of shots everywhere.

Like you said, a highlight reel goal and a red line dump in that goes in are counted the exact same way.

Rangers need to adjust their strategy which they did last night. But too much playing safe, perimeter shots and bad decisions; even when not under pressure. Lets see how they come out Game 6. Part is on their top players. Part is on Lavi for not adjusting.

Without going through every goal because I can't be arsed. Laffy's goal to tie it 2-2 in game 4 was missing the net, luckily hit Bob and went in, so how is that deflection a legit goal? But you are calling any shot that deflects off Igor that is actually on net not a legit goal .

Think you need to take off your blinkered glasses and just accept it's been a close series and Florida have got the goals they need to win the game more often than NYR have.
