True. But It's not just dmen that are responsible for getting the puck out of the zone. And forwards are more responsible for O zone entry which is also necessary to score.
Mika's poor play in OT that led to Wheeler's penalty is a prime example.
I love the way this is worded. Kakko just hanging out with the extras. Brodzinski's mom ordered pizza and they're playing Mario Kart.
Not sure I'd scratch Kakko, but it's whatever, just need to win tonight
Rearranging deck chairs..So looks like it's
Lindgren - Fox
Miller - Schneider
Gustafsson - Trouba

You aren't wrong, I'm just saying that's only part of the picture.Mika made a bad play. No argument.
But forwards don't bring the puck up ice. Sure, there are exceptions like MacKinnon, but that's not the usual.
One of the most important things for defensemen is to either lug the puck out of their own zone or make a great first pass. None of the D are doing either very often.
A non-injured Fox is one of the best in the league at that. Jones is better than the others at this, too.
If the D was doing this, Florida would be forced to hesitate instead of going gung ho into the Rangers zone. That would totally change these games.
he adds absolutely nothing. three coaches have seen it at this point. I did like his physical play last game though.

he should've never been there. the line was just fine with Ros.How do you go from getting elevated to the top line (INO) in the 3rd Period to a healthy scratch?
He should have had a tripping call that probably would have led to an OT win... but refs are going to refhe adds absolutely nothing. three coaches have seen it at this point. I did like his physical play last game though.

I swear I thought Kakko stepped on his stick which is not a penalty. He should have had a tripping call that probably would have led to an OT win... but refs are going to ref
Edstrom may get the call - wouldn’t shock me.he adds absolutely nothing. three coaches have seen it at this point. I did like his physical play last game though.

I would agree but could be an attitude issue as well .I thought Kakko played one of his better games of the playoffs on Tuesday. Coaching staff must’ve thought 24 made that pass to Barkov in OT and decided to send a message![]()
A trip is a trip, that is still a penalty. That exact play is called 99/100 times.I swear I thought Kakko stepped on his stick which is not a penalty.
Fixed

Agreed, real changes need to be made but I will take Trouba playing the least minutes possible and against the least dangerous competition. Lavy is a dinosaur. He will never put Jones in unless somebody else can't play. How he put Trouba-Miller back together before this series is beyond my comprehension.Rearranging deck chairs..
Lav needs to bench one of trouba, ljndgren or miller and play jones.
Knobby made changes yesterday and sparked the team. Take the freaking chance and bench one for a puck moving player like Jones.
Especially since londgren is playing at like 25%, trouba cant move and miller might get a negative score on the wonderlick test.
And all have been awful this series.
You said "nobody has come up smaller."I know you have his pajamas but it’s time to realize - he’s become a detriment.
about f***ing time.
We have won the President's Cup and have advanced to the ECF where we are tied 2-2. We have used the same 6 D since game 1. The defense isn't the problem. If Mika, Panarin, CK and Fox would have gone goal less in 4 games in December against average teams, we would probably be 2-2 during that stretch too. We need our 40 million dollar superstars to score some goals. All I heard before these playoffs start is if we don't get secondary scoring, we can't win. Well we got secondary scoring. We haven't got primary scoring.Mika made a bad play. No argument.
