Rigged I don't know. The NHL is a business though. And it is more financially beneficial for a team like Florida to win this series.

I know fans of other teams express a view it's better if the big market NY team wins. But there are a few reality holes in this thinking:
  • NYR is an already saturated, well-established, multi-billion-dollar franchise
  • Florida has a slightly larger population than NY, which means, as a newer franchise, it offers much more room for new growth and new revenues
A first Cup win for Florida would be a massive financial boon for that franchise and for the league.

Rigged. Influenced. Whatever word you want to use, it's happening and the officials are the primary instrument. Refs blowing the whistles in the NBA without having a call ready (looking at you Scott Foster). The way this series has been called between the Rangers and Panthers has been despicable honestly. And how about the Mets pitcher getting ejected (and subsequently losing his job) yesterday by the 3rd base ump for *reasons*. I don't even need an example for the NFL at this point they are too numerous to count. I cant wait to take a long break from sports watching after the Rangers win this Cup.

We heard rumors that he was nursing something. And then we heard he was sick. But nobody else was sick. And when Chytil was "sick," I think he just wasn't ready conditioning-wise.

He's probably banged up.

I'd give him be a B right now because of how much he's been ineffective and neutralized in this series. Before this series it was an A. I think a lot of this has to do with his centerman.

ESPN wants to pretend they're into analytics. It's a bit more trendy now. That's why MSG has Valiquette talk about it.

Some of the shit like shot attempts and even strength play, that idiots like me were talking about ten years ago, are common now.

The difference is, while Valiquette has his own sophisticated package that grades the Rangers as a good team, ESPN is giving you analytics 101. After all, they don't wanna hit you with it too heavy.

If you're going to be into analytics 101, with very little nuance beyond that, you have to not take the Rangers seriously. That's what the basic numbers say.

That's why PK keeps trumpeting "it's 6-0 without Shesterkin!!!" It's a corsi talking point from 2015.

Can we stop making excuses whenever a player underwhelms that he must be hurt? Nobody is 100% right now on either team. The best teams and players overcome it.

It's not bad luck. It's bad play. Let's hope it flips tonight.
It depends on how hurt. We won't know until after it's over.

I saw one in Game 4. Inside slot chances or something.

Phone battery at 93%. It's probably not a sign.

Bumps and bruises can be somewhat overcome.

Fox is the best player on the team, along with Shesterkin.

Fox can't overcome an injured knee. No one can.

this game will prove if this team is truly different from the many teams of the past. in my lifetime we haven’t won a game 5 of the ECF being tied 2-2. I really hope they prove me wrong.

I think we’re running out of gas. I’m expecting a 5-1 beatdown. Prove me wrong please!

If you believe it's rigged or influenced against you, it's an absolute waste of your time to watch.

Why do you believe parts of EVERY fanbase believe that the refs, announcers, and the league are against them?

Are the Rangers fans who believe this right and the others are all wrong?

I understand that the announcers affect your experience, but luckily for me, they don't affect mine.

I do enjoy Pang, but I know a lot of folks hate him.
I am talking specifically about McDonagh. That is the argument I made; no reason to assume I am taking other sides here in regards to the league/officiating etc.. McDonagh announces like he's a member of the Panther's home broadcast. It bothers me. The radio and TV feeds aren't 100% in sync, so it's really annoying to have them both on at the same time. Again, if it's going to be a neutral broadcast, BE NEUTRAL. And I didn't even touch of Ferraro.

I don't think the refs and league are anti-NYR. I think they tend to be anti who they think is the worst team. I have said it throughout the playoffs; you get the calls if you play the way the refs think good teams play. So if you are cycling for minutes (even if you are generating nothing a la Carolina) the refs are going to reward you for hard work by calling a softy that THEY WOULDN'T CALL YOU ON because, again, you work hard, the other team doesn't. It is not anti Rangers, it's anti the way the Rangers play. Look at all the interference and tripping Florida did last in game 4, no calls because Florida controlled the play for most of the period. It is about optics with these guys. Maybe it's human nature, I don't know, but the Rangers and Panthers change sweaters, and play the same exact game, then it would be the Rangers sweaters getting the power plays. Not about the team, about game management.

Between tkachuk publicly saying kreiders best play this series was his throwing the mouth piece, the rangers desperately needing a spark, and kreiders zero impact through 4 games. If he really is a legacy ranger, he fights tkachuk the first shift hes on with him tonight. The garden would erupt, the bench would be juiced beyond belief and if that doesnt spark a win we’re toast

I dont want one of our best players off the ice in a must win. Send Rempe after him if you want. But theyd probably only penalize him and give him a lecture.
