If we play to our capabilities panthers don't stand a chance. Reason I say this is because we have extra gears. These extra gears don't manifest because our passing has been sucking. Here is the tell, if we make good passes to start this game we will win Book it. If these bums start making shitty passes and fumble pucks we are toast.Things need to change. Whether it's the system/scheme, whatever they have been doing isn't working. It's a miracle this series is tied 2-2; the NYR are lucky this series isn't already over in a sweep. They can't get the puck out their own end, get hemmed in and are hanging on for dear life, leaving Shesterkin out to dry. They are gassed. They never have the puck.
The Panthers are a heavy team; the Rangers are as far away from that as you can get. Not many, if any, teams win a Stanley Cup playing how the Rangers play, you need to be heavy; it's not in their DNA. It's hard to envision the NYR winning 2 of the next possible 3 games playing how they are. Their best players need to be their best players. They need to play a 60+ minute game, not a 10-20 minute game. The time is now to show what/who they are. They've stepped up before, but the Panthers are the better team; they know what they need to do to win.
Enough of this shit
We lost the league too much money in round 1, so they put an end to the 7-0 run with tons of calls. Now they want both ECF and WCF to go to 6-7 because R1/R2 had so few G7s. Might as well knock a panther unconscious in the opening faceoff if the league just wants money and views. It'll make for exciting hockey.
Despite all of the winning….. is it just me or has this postseason not been enjoyable?
High expectations? Opponents style? Close games?
I just want Zibinashit to give a shit. And Fox to play the game- no whining or pouting. This is playoff hockey!
Yeah I dont get the "they dont care" or "its only a game to them" rhetoric.Everyone on the team gives a shit. Way more than you.
All of this is self inflicted. Panthers obviously took advantage of our buffoonery
Very incorrect statement. Prime example of buffoonery is the Mika idiotic pass on blue line. If you don't think that is self inflicted then I dint know what to tell you. Miller and Trouba constantly in poor position and failure to clear pucks properly. We dictated play 1st period and we really didn't even play that well either. Florida isn't this big jauggarnout.Very little of this is self-inflicted. Florida is a very good team, playing very well.
After the Carolina series, some here were mocking other fanbases for bitching about the refs as the reason the Rangers won. Now some of the same folks are bitching about the refs having it in for the Rangers.
Rangers need to win tonight. That's all that matters. The defensemen have to get out of their own zone with possession or crisp passing.
Please try Zac Jones, Lav.

Bruins got 2 wins on them with a much worse team than ours. That's not to say Florida is mediocre, they are definitely top 4 team.
The way ESPN has been acting with their coverage you would think they want Florida in the final and the shit ratings they'd get with the Panthers in it.
2.5 million people watched Game 3 on ABC Sunday afternoon. Does ESPN think Florida drove that number?
I've been really irritated with lavi giving the 3rd so much ES TOI. They're not going to score. What's the damn point?I keep coming back to the idea that I want to get 13/10/20 as many shifts as I can. It’s a best of 3 now. We’re going to sink or swim based on their production.
Panarin got 12 minutes of ES time in G4. That’s less than Cutllye and Kakko. I’m not going out like that.
I’d sit KK, go with 11F and dress Jones. I think he provides more flexibility and use than KK right now.
The ice has been tilted all series. Igor is the reason we weren't swept. It would be nice to see some sustained zone time and effort out of our top-6. I can't even really blame our D because they are what they are: Fox is injured, Lindgren is held together by chicken wire and duct tape, Trouba sucks AND is quite obviously injured. It's our Top-6 that has been largely a no-show, especially those with a letter, frustratingly enough.
Also, is interference even a penalty anymore? One of the biggest differences on ease of breakout between these two teams is that Florida systematically interferes with our forecheckers. And when I say systematically, I mean it. It's every dump-in, so they had to have been coached to do it. They're not the only team that does it, but there's a stark difference between us and them. We largely leave their forecheckers unimpeded, and it allows them to create big issues for us breaking out. I always thought that if you "left your lane" to obstruct another player, it was an automatic interference call. In this series, you have 1 or 2 players rushing to get in the way of our F1 trying to attack the puck. Straight up shoving or hooking them off their line. It makes a huge difference, and I'm not sure why they're not drawing 2-3 more penalties a game from that alone.

And that wasn't so much because Florida played that much poorly; the Rangers played well the first two games. They *CAN* do better than they did in games 3 and 4 and that is why a win is absolutely still possible. It is tilted towards Florida, 100%, UNTIL IT ISN"T.Hard disagree with the notion that we should have been swept.
As much as games 3 and 4 were discouraging and a bit embarrassing, we deserved to win both of the first two games.
Florida generated nothing in those games.
I expect their best tonight. Mika, Kreider, Panarin have made themselves a story and not a good one. We can't win without them. Not much more needs to be said.
I think the refs call it in the Rangers favor tonight so they can essentially guarantee a game 7.
