A win here would be enormous.
First goal is big, as always.
Gotta think Montreal is going to come out furious after getting embarrassed. I'm sure they made plenty of adjustments to content with the Rangers speed game, though I'm eager to see if they can actually execute that plan.
For the Rangers, they just need to continue to go about their business, as they have all postseason.
Don't engage with the **** after the whistles. If the Canadiens feel compelled to come after Lundqvist, do your best to stop them but dont take the bait. The refs will call it on both sides of the rink in response to Game 1.
Stay out of the box and keep that forecheck going. Subban looked like hes was trying to do too much so i expect a simpler, straight ahead game from him for the first half of the game. Gotta take him out of the play physically when given the chance. Kreider needs to continue to blow past defenders, and Hagelin needs to get into the mix there too. If the Canadiens start to cheat by taking a step back it will open up the neutral zone. Hold onto pucks and make plays across the line. On dump ins, keep it away from Price (im sure hell play) especially in the second with the long change and on the PK.
I could see an OT game tonight that could go either way. The Bell Center will be rocking tonight, i thought the afternoon game favored the Rangers on Saturday. The fans will come ready and it will be a very tough W to get tonight. Stay the course. Dont break away from the game plan. Its a series.
