Dressing 34/16/91 et al tonight and having them go through the motions / avoid injury might not add up to a better result. When the team wants to take a night off (see 8-1 drubbing to Tampa) they don't need to sit players out to do so.

On paper, plenty of arguments to prefer TB based on this year's performance. BUT, there's HUGE caveats - namely that maybe the biggest reason TB has been less than dominant this year is just ok years from Kucherov Point and Vasi, when those 3 have arguably been the biggest reasons for their cups - so its quite easy to see all three of them stepping right back up to cup level, which means a whole lot more finish up front and a whole lot more saves at the back.

Vasi: .821 HDSV%, -0.04 HDGSAA/60
Swayman: .820 HDSV%, -0.04 HDGSAA/60
Ullmark: .819 HDSV%, -0.05 HDGSAA/60
Campbell: .786 HDSV%, -0.30 HDGSAA/60
Swayman/Ullmark however have arguably the #1 team in the NHL in front of them.

There's a difference between Swayman/Ullmark and Vasi
One is the best goalie in the NHL coming off a Conn Smythe...the other two barely play starter workloads
Hopefully no injuries tonight for both teams (I know both are keeping big names out of it but. . .) I honestly think the Bs have a better shot against Carolina then Toronto lol. If I were a Leaf fan I don't know which team I'd want... TB doesn't look like the same team they used to be. I know they have Vas but Bruins have had their luck pretty easily as of late against TB I honestly wish the Bruins could have drawn them.

Yeah I mentioned already that Vasi has just been ok this year, which is a big reason why the bolts have been a tick below their usual level....but i'm far far more scared of Vasi stepping it up in the playoffs than Swayman or Ullmark.
It doesn't matter who we play. This team couldn't get past Montreal last covid season when it was set up perfectly for us. We have history with both teams. We can beat both teams. Until post season. The Leafs need 100% focus regardless the competitor.

I recall being quite happy they were losing for a shot at #1 in their rebound. If everyone knew how good Matthews was going to be, I'm sure the Leaf brass would have done their best to ice an even worse lineup.

The NHL should fine the Bruins for holding out all those players. Every other league would and does. Poor fans who big bucks to see the players. But Batman is a clown.
There is no easy path anyway, the goal should not just be the first round.
