The first few pages of this thread were vintage HFBoards.

Only for this to end up as a nothing burger.

It wasn’t a fight. It was an idiot Domi doing what idiot domis do. Jump a guy for a big hit. Unfortunately Pavelski has a concussion history. Hate to see him hurt but Ice and Hartman’s stick caused concussion. Not Shoulder check. There’s a pic showing his shoulder makes contact but head is already snapped back from Hartman’s stick.

Well that certainly describes one of the players in that interaction
What did Dumba do wrong? It was a shoulder to shoulder hit and unfortunately Pavelskis stuck was caught between them hitting him in the face.

I disagree. With how many people celebrate the kind of hits that cause these concussions, it's pretty hard to not conclude people like seeing these injuries.

Bad take. People like the energy and spark hits like this can provide in amping up a game.

No one hopes for an injury unless you're a pos or psycopath.

The outcome of the hit is irrelevant, sometimes it leads to an injury, it's unfortunate but little to no one wants that outcome.

Hate seeing this, big Pavelski fan and that looks like a nasty concussion. The way his head bounced off the ice, ugh, not good.

The hit was clean, though, shoulder to shoulder. You could argue it was a touch late, but watching it at full speed, not slow mo, it doesn’t look that way to me - hit is about 1/3 of a second after Pavs gets rid of the puck, maybe a 1/2 second at most. Everything looks late on slow mo, gotta watch it at full speed to really see the timing, and IMO this wasn’t late. Though just a personal opinion, I'd say "borderline but not late", but certainly get people who see it as "borderline but late".

Don't like Dumba smiling/laughing in the box, but also don't wanna make too many assumptions. Is he smiling/laughing about the hit (extremely classless), or is it something more understandable? e.g. he seems to be looking towards the other box when laughing, maybe he's reacting to Domi chirping him post-fight? It's easy to make assumptions about what's going on here, but we don't really know.

Not blindsideat all. Tell me how a veteran doesn’t know what’s coming in an opponents corner? Stick snapped his head, not Dumba. Dumba fell backwards, not follow through head.

no. Stick snapped head. Dumba hit shoulder. Head was snapped back from stick. If Pav was not injured, wouldn’t a e been evenany call. Not blindside he’s skating towards Dumba. Why is e admiring pass? First playoff game?

Repeating yourself doesn't make it so. The violence and speed with which the head snapped back show that it was the shoulder to head hit that caused the head to snap back.

the concussion was caused by hit head to ice

Pavelski was out before going to the ice, it's why he couldn't control his fall.

He was very likely laughing at that being a 5 minute call, which it wasn't. Even the biggest POS's in history aren't laughing at someone over a serious injury. People are out here acting like hockey players are psychopaths.
Keith and Seabrook certainly were laughing it up after Seabrook's cheap shot on Backes

Easy to find Suter, at a Kwik trip getting a hot dog.
healthy snacks for his kids (like a caeser salad in a plastic box). As bad as the Suter commercials were, the horny lasagna commercials were worse.

Repeating yourself doesn’t change it either. From Hartman’s stick. His head snapped back from Hartman’s stick. The pics are posted.
I hate dirty hits. This was shoulder on shoulder not into boards and Dumba fell back. I hope Pav is ok.

Hits like this cause concussions. This wasn't a fluke injury. This is the known outcome.

That hit was 100% legal at the time.
a) doesn't mean it wasn't a cheap shot
loved Scott Stevens, but he had a lot of legal hits that were cheap

b) Seabrook and Keith were laughing at a player who was clearly in distress after a head shot, which the poster I quoted claimed NHL players don't do
tells me a lot about them as people (those players)
