3 way:

To Ana: Nyquist + Jurco
Reasoning: Fills Ducks needs for top and bottom six wingers.

To Wpg: Fowler + Wings 2017 1st(lottery protected top 7) + Saarijarvi
Reasoning: Fills Jets need for LHD and gives them 2 assets that won't have to be exposed in the expansion draft.

To Det: Trouba
Reasoning: Fills Wings need for young mobile RHD puck moving dman. Added bonus, he's from Michigan.

+

To N.J: Brendan Smith
Reasoning: They need help on D

To Det: 2017 2nd + 2018 2nd.
Reasoning: Frees up cap space to sign Trouba and Smith is replaced by G.R. dman who is no longer waiver exempt(Ouellet/Sproul/Jensen).

Boucher + pick for Despres would work from a Devils perspective.

Could be a cheap LW option for Anaheim.

It seems like other GMs might be hoping that the longer this drags out, the more likely it is that they can get a D off the Ducks for a similar price to what the Isles gave up to get Boychuk.

Eh young dmen are premiums, idk that value will decrease

Yep I think I that's a good fit, maybe the addition could be a conditional pick based on Despres staying healthy. There's probably a better opportunity in Anaheim for Boucher to snag a scoring line role and Despres could be a great buy low top 4 dman for the Devils

To Boston:

LHD Cam Fowler

To Anaheim:

C/W Ryan Spooner
LW Anders Bjork

Cheap, effective top six player ready to play top six minutes and a solid prospect. I put Bjork in there because of the glut of Bruins LW prospects.

Exactly.

Devils have extra thirds and extra seconds the next two drafts as well, so I think they would commit to that. Plus Despres has the Shero connection who also drafted him and played under Hynes a couple years in Wilkes-Barre.

I would prefer Fowler, but I don't think Boucher alone gets it done and I find it unlikely Cammalleri is moved as I doubt the Devils want to move him or the Ducks could fit him in.

As a Ducks fan, I pass.

Have to upgrade the prospect to Senyshyn to keep my interest.

I'd propose Boucher + conditional 2018 3rd (becomes a 2nd if Despres plays 140 games or more in two seasons) for Despres.

It would appear that other GMs are unwilling to pay a premium for one of Anaheim's D.

If the rumors are true, Tim Murray moved on to the Kulikov deal after he couldn't agree on a deal for Fowler.

Other GMs know that the Ducks have a ton of D and that a move is more than likely going to have to happen. Only time will tell if Bob Murray can get a premium price or not.

Dont want Fowler, and Despres looks like a bottom pairing D.

JvR for Vatanen (I know he isnt available)

Intersting thought. I'd like to see what Bruins fans think about parting with him for a LHD upgrade. Steep price, but PMD's are at a premium.

He has looked like a top-4 defender, even like a below-average-top-pairing-complimentary-guy until his injury on the Ducks. If he looks like a bottom pairing guy to you, it's either the quality or duration of your vision.

Actually value wise on a 1 for 1 deal it makes the most sense. At least for the Ducks not sure if Toronto can afford to lose a valuable winger like JVR though.

I won't lie...i was against the deal because of the hole it created at LW. But after a few internal arguments with myself (because i have always believed you build from the net out), i think i would pull the trigger on a straight JVR for Fowler swap.

Fowler/Reilly
Gardiner/Zaitsev/Marincin
Hunwick/Polak/Carrick

That's a crap ton better than we witnessed last season. Is it playoff worthy? Maybe not, but with the additions of Andersen and Enroth, we wouldn't be a push over for goals against.

No. BUF isn't willing to offer up the right assets to acquire Fowler. If they did, he'd be a Sabre already.

A young, contributing 1st line winger on a cheap contract is what we need. Girgs isn't that and you're not giving us anyone that fits that bill.

Lighten up, Francis. It was a sensing post to see what folks thought.
