I agree Duchene is good, I just think he's having a career year.
well ya he is having a career year anyone can see that

you said he is overrated and now you are saying its just his shooting percentage but i think people already know he is going to hit 40 goals every year. He should have high point totals though

Why would he hit 40 goals every year? He's had over 30 precisely once in his entire career

I would love to see Drouin - Duchesne - Domi (triple D)

Habs could Offer : Petry - Shaw - Poehling - 2rd

Ottawa : Duchesne (signed 6 years at 9mil) - 4 rd
Montreal aren't offering anything for him if he wants 9 mil per.

If you mean not being good enough to play in the NHL... The resume doesn't scream blue Chip at all

That list is also not an end-all-be-all. As an example, number 9 on that list is Sorokin who evidently doesn't have a lot of trade value. Keep that in mind. Blue Chippers will be defined by the organization who owns them.

It gives you an idea of who the blue chip prospects are around the league. Sorokin is a terrible example of value. Prospect goalies can't be compared in value to prospect skaters. Goalies live on their own little planet with regard to value; even at the NHL level.

Tolvanen is a blue chip prospect any way you look at it. There isn't an argument against it. That said, he is still a developing prospect. There are no guarantees with him.

Fiala + Tolvanen + a 1st sounds way too expensive, unless the Sens add something, like Stone, or another roster player.

The Sens have about 5 days to trade Duchene, or else they get nothing. So Duchene's value doesn't matter at this point, the Sens need to accept the best offer they can get.

Realistically, what teams could afford to give more than a 1st and a top prospect for Duchene right now, in addition to extending him for about 8x$8M?
