Funny how THAT is what you focused on, not the content..oh wait...becaue the content would provide that YOU WERE WRONG AGAIN....funny how that works....
Funny how you can't engage with anyone on this board without acting like petulant little child.
You consistently bring nothing to this board and it's discussion except immaturity and anger.

Congrats, you've earned this!

Don't bother responding, I won't see it.

I still say this is way too early. I'd only be concerned if we needed scoring badly like in 2011. But we have that in spades and still have more coming in Arvidsson when he returns.

However I really thought we had acquired Helly when the trade was first starting to break.

What I liked about him tonight was he saw chances getting generated by doing hard work down low in his own end first. He made a phenomenal puck protection play against two dudes several times--that's the guy that was advertised, but it wasn't just in the ozone.

Hope that sparks something. He's watching guys fly around and dig, and tonight he did some of that.

He seems VERY uncomfortable in that video. That’s how I usually am in social gatherings lol. On that note, I thought he had some jam in his play tonight, if only he could do that more often.
he's done a couple between-period interviews and i've thought the same thing, i think he's either kinda dim or extremely awkward

Still not a PLD fan but tonight provided some perspective at least. Finally scored a goal, had a few other good looks, and generally looked solid, meanwhile Huberdeau was somehow less than invisible all night.

I didn’t realize that his $10.5M deal didn’t even kick in until this season. That’s a backbreaker.

If Huberdeau was bought out in June 2024, the Flames would have a cap hit between $7.9-10.4 million until 2030. Then $5.9 million the next year. Then $900k until 2038.

As much as I've hated the trade and ragged on PLD, Huberdeau is an entire tier of having a godawful contract. He needs to step it up four or five levels or Calgary will be having a rough time.

PLD seems very similar to another big center this team once had.

Of course it would be great if he produced like Allison, but he’s a better skater than him and can be a bull on the puck, that is if the light switch is on.

He really is a jerk!

Dude looks like a rat in a cage. He looks like that kid who’s dad pushes him too hard and he hates hockey but it’s his job! I think this is gonna blow up within 8 years and be very ugly!

Glad he scored a goal last night.

His puck retrieval absolutely blows. Like, he's basically not an NHL caliber checker.

His puck protection though? Hahaha, good luck everyone.

It's still super early, but PLD may go down as the most hated player in Kings history. Crazy to say that after only 30 games.

But if he can build off of last nights performance, he might end up being alright. Hopefully he makes us all eat our words.

Yea his retrieval and board work are probably the worst parts of his game. Wish hed use his big frame more on the wall and not just in open ice. Byfield learned to use his ass and long reach from watching Kopitar to come out of scrums with possession even if hes outnumbered. When guys are battling PLD on the wall they come out with it and immediately go the other way. Partially because that line isnt in sync yet with full support for each other.
