What I fear, like a recurring Chucky nightmare is his agent spinning the "I love to play for my home crowd" and HuGo bites on it. From the last two trades, we know HuGo loves his reclamation projects, which actually look like they are working, which of course can feed an ego into stupidity, so why not the biggest gamble of them all.
The all-too-tempting difference is that the donkey is Quebecois and the locals are STARVING for a home grown star. With the cap going up and a low cost to acquire him may look tempting, too tempting, faaar too tempting, BUT, I see a 7 year circus if Dubois mails it in for the balance of his career. It's not like we got to go far in history to see how the Drouin fiasco worked out.
Is it possible? Let's not forget we got dumb and dumber in this donkey fiasco.
I'm an ex Montrealer and I can tell you for a fact that the donkey will have nowhere to hide in Quebec. He wont be able to go to a grocery store and not be noticed as the guy who let them down. I don't know about LA, but in Quebec its's far more personal. He will be either a God or a goat.
(BTW, I like how your team plays. We got a lot of talent coming but I don't know if our coach can put structure and hard work ethic into the team.)
