lol running a 2C at that level is exactly how a team gets exposed when the real hockey begins
Have you seen him play with that line this year or you just blowing smoke out your ass . Names has played very well this year and really fits in well with the Jets system of play . Names is the facilitator Ehlers is the speed and Perfitti is the brain . Cole still needs a few years but has had steady progress .

Robertson-Hintz-Rantanen
Marchment-Duchene-Seguin
Benn-Johnston-Granlund
Bourque-Steel-Dadonov

Harley-Heiskanen
Lindell- Ceci/Lyubushkin
Bichsel-Ceci/Lyubushkin

not healthy and just lost Hintz so its gonna change
We started today with
Robertson-Hintz-Rantanen
Marchment-Duchene-Granlund
Benn-Johnston-Dadonov
Back-Steel-Bourque

Harley-Lyubushkin
Lindell-Ceci
Bichsel-Garbage...I mean Dumba

Ironically Johnston is the best center on the team, but he gets the worst wingers

Avs used the following vs Toronto:

Necas - MacKinnon - Lehkonen
Droin - Nelson - Nishuchkin
Kiviranta - Coyle - Colton
Kelly Drury O'Conner

Toews - Makar
Girard - Malinski
Lindgren - Manson

Blackwood
Wedgewood
Who's Malinski? Don't recognize him at all and being in top 4, he must be a decent enough defenseman?

I think Oilers might be:

Frederic - McDavid - Hyman
Podkolzin - Draisaitl - Arviddson
Kane - Nugent-Hopkins - Perry
Janmark - Henrique - Brown

Ekholm - Bouchard
Nurse - Walman
Kulak - Klingberg

Kane will be a bit of a wildcard. No idea how he will look.

He's a young 6D, strong skater, puck moving type with a half decent shot. He's kinda small though and I would say that pairing is probably more of the 3rd pair - but they would get more Ozone starts by a lot.

Personally think he'll be paired more with Lindgren with Girard-Manson as the 2nd pair

Undrafted guy who’s shown he’s a solid two way guy.

Wouldn’t say he’s top 4 as I think the ideal is that the pairings are:

Toews - Makar
Girard - Manson
Lindgren - Malinksi
Erik Johnson

However if they go with the top 6 they used last night I can see it being more of a 2A/2B situation where they give more ice time to the pairing depending on if they’re trying to score or defend a lead.

Caps' Lineup:

Ovechkin - Strome - Wilson
McMichael - Dubois - Protas
Mangiapane - Eller - Raddysh
Duhaime - Dowd - Beauvillier

Frank

Sandin - Carlson
Chychrun - Riemsdyk
Fehervary - Roy

Alexeyev - McIlrath

Thompson
Lindgren

Ryan Leonard is expected to sign after BC's NCAA season is over and will replace one of Mangiapane or Raddysh on the 3rd line.

Are you guys surprised the Avs didn't add another top 4 D at the deadline?
How has Manson been this year? Always loved his game back in Anaheim but haven't kept up with him in Colorado.
Not really. I think that Manson when healthy is your ideal 2nd pairing guy. Challenge has been him being healthy.

So bringing in a guy like Lindgren helps round out the top 6 while bringing in a guy who can MAYBE slot in top 4. Rangers fans have been very quick to sh** on him, but he’s been solid in a reduced role.

Bigger needs were addressed down the middle in having a true 2C and 3C. Rounded out the depth they’ve built.

Stars with everyone healthy come playoff time:

Robertson-Hintz-Rantanen
Marchment-Duchene-Seguin
Benn-Johnston-Granlund
Steel-Bourque-Dadonov
Bäck, Blackwell

Harley-Heiskanen
Lindell-Lyubushkin
Bichsel-Ceci
Dumba/Smith

Oettinger
DeSmith
That forward group is f***ing insane

Not really. Lindgren is probably a low end #4 though IMO, so I think our defense looks good as is, and has good balance.

Manson's been hurt a lot this season, but has looked pretty good when he's been healthy enough to play. He occasionally has really dumbass games now and then though where he just tries to do way too much lol

A cup winning team with Strome and Dubois would crash HF.
Theyve both rebounded in Washington by the looks of it?
Both on pace to smash their previous career high in points.

That Sandin and Chychrun trades have been huge for you.
Any talks on Chychrun staying in Washington?

Strome is basically a PPG center and PP wizard, while Dubois is a 60+ pts elite defensive center. The 2nd line is actually the best line of the team since both Protas and McMichael are our best defensive wingers and both are on pace for 30+ goals. People who haven't watched the Caps this year will find out just how dominant those 3 are in the playoffs.

Sandin has worked out great. Chychrun has a killer shot and I think he stays in DC since this is the first time he's been in a stable NHL franchise.
