Assuming we'd need to take some money back from Montreal give me Josh Anderson.

Big, physical right shot forward. Something we don't have currently.

I.E.
Anderson would probably be excellent with Kopitar since he’s just a mindless game on rails go to the net for trash type player and Anderson wouldn’t need to be the puck carrier on this team.

NO

How does Armia sound?

Seriously, there may not be ANY interest by Habs management at this point. It's only dumb fans like me that think there may still be a flicker of light. My bad.

I don't know if the Habs would have any interest in PLD now, but I would absolutely trade him there and take a shit contract back. Anything to get him off the books.

His NMC doesn't kick in until the off season.

The Montreal media would not go easy on PLD.
ALL OF QUEBEC won't take it easy on him.

Quebec is the very last place on earth that Dubois wants to go.

Does your team hire hobbyists and use them to cover the team professionally?

It's going to be more than taking a contract back. Think close to 50% retention with the way he's playing..

Dont worry about it
Lets face it, we are stuck with him. Nobody is going to trade for him. What are the cap consequences if they bought him out? I'm sure we'd be stuck with the cap hit for a long time. Might not be worth it.

If bought out in June, there would be a cap hit until 2038, with the highest cap hit of $3.82 million for one season, and the lowest cap hit of $1.13 million for the final 7 seasons.

Here is the link for buyout.

Biggest question of all is...does any team want him? Maybe for free and possible a pair of 2nd round slippers thrown in, but they will then be stuck with having to buy him out if he keeps stinking up the place.

There is something bothering me about the rush to get out this year. Why? He could of waited one more year, played for the Jets and the dollar difference would be minor for him.

Is it possible he and the Jets hid a concussion injury or abuse issues? So he the Jets play along to replace him, he gets his huge contract and magically at 26, he's another Drouin/Price with "issues". Buying him out will still let him live like a king. Or he goes on LTIR.

This level of a drop off for a 25 year old approaching his prime is...a head scratcher.

I would MUCH rather pay him minimally not to play until 2038 than pay him his full contract to play until 2032. Those last 7 years are so minimal that a buyout this summer should be debated internally.
Im sure there will a debate. One in French that Blake wont be privvy to, and one in English. The French debate will be what model Lambos should they group order Luc, Bergovin, Brisson, and PLD.. the English will we be a pretend discussion about a buyout.

If Dubois was anywhere near being bought out he would have been moved to wing already. I understand that people are getting frustrated but those same people also need to understand that there is zero accountability in this organization right now.
The Kings are currently on an 8 game losing streak where the highest paid coach in the league is getting out-coached on a nightly basis, and the team is still fully supporting him.
Sadly no chance PLD gets bought out this summer and the Kings are stuck with him.

Gotta give Blake some credit for the parallels, he saw a guy who pouted his way out of town and said 'yeah, i get it, i know how to get to this guy' and now the LA Kings are suffering for it.

Blake just cannot stop f***ing over this franchise, 30 years and counting
This franchise is a traditional easy f***.
At least it was, until lombardi a d sutter got here and showed the long suffering, non hockey market fans what it takes to build and win a stanley cup.
Despite thier efforts to control the media and insulate fans from any critical assessment, long time kings fans see the bs that is being sold to them and tthe mgmt country club that ensures thier own employment for years to come.
If ownership doesnt wake up and clean out the cess pool we can expect a return to the dark ages of kings hockey.

He should be demoted to 4th line LW for his pathetic effort.

Dubois-Lizotte-Lewis

No PP time.
No PK time.
No face offs.
No tough matchups.
No center responsibilities.

10min of TOI per game. And I expect him to work his ass off on those 12 shifts per night.

If he can't do that while being paid millions of dollars, than not only does he lack pride, but he also lacks integrity.

I honestly think we should be trying our hardest to raise his value for the rest of the year. Swap Dubois and Byfield and hope QB can play center. I also wonder who might take Kaliyev. Maybe we can trade him and some picks to New Jersey for Toffoli? Wouldn't hate finding a better fourth line too. Grundstrom ain't it.

Dubois - Kopitar - Kempe
Fiala - Byfield - Toffoli
Moore - Danault - Fagemo (Arvidsson when he comes back)
Grundstrom - Lizotte - Lewis

Anderson - Doughty
Gavrikov - Roy
Englund - Spence
