Sadly our center depth is pretty shallow. We have Beck which is guaranteed 3rd and likely 2nd. Also Newhook which may rise to 2C. Beyond that we have Suzuki and Dach. Either is above Dubois value before the trade and completely out of bounds now. .
If you are looking for immidiate established center depth we have Monahan.
Monahan and Gallagher? Neither have long term value to us but they may have short term value to you. One can be bought out the other is expiring.
The odds are 50/50 that 8.5 million Dubois is what he is and will never move above an extremely well paid slacker or he's going through a phase.
You trade him and we find out, or you find out. Sadly, this discussion shouldn't take place, but here we are...
Can we send bergevin with pld for monahan 50% retained???

I would say the most likely explanation is mental illness... depression or some weird need to be loathed. How else do u explain it? Normal guy with that talent would be dying to prove his value to his teammates the coach, the gm, the fans and friends and family
No one knows....so we are making guesses based on your own feelings, (again you generalized) but no one knows how his teammates like him or don't like him etc...

I know PLD is giving us a lot of frustrations, but can we not speculate on personal problems? It's bad enough constantly correcting people who think Faber wouldn't sign with the Kings.
I hope his personal problems turn into a terminated contract so we gain the cap space.

Oohhh that's tough because I actually like PLD off-ice here. Roenick was a piece of shit scamming the Kings out of money (same so far) but he was also a complete f***ing dick to fans and couldn't have been worse towards the city. I guess there's time for it to play out yet, but Roenick has a hatred I've never had for any hockey player, even Randy Jones. Just a scumbag human being when it comes to LA.

A buyout this June would be the last chance for it to be at 1/3, based on Dubois’ age. I’ve looked at the yearly numbers. I’m seriously all in favour.
Watching this unfold, I’m more thankful than ever I saw not one, but two cups from this team under previous management. Because there is no way these bozos, who in their playing days never won a damn thing on their own and were plugged into winning environments, will be getting us there.

also its true what the montreal guys say about bergevin- that is that he knows absolutely nothing about hockey.
i guess there are shades of gray in every human exparience but the complete arrogance and total self centeredness of robittaile, blake and bergevin make it hard for me to invest my time and money into this team. their only action is to preserve thier own liveyhoods. they have no interest in anything other than this, and have insulated themselves by employing yes men and puppets throughout the franchise and its affiliates.
i wish someone would wake AEG up to the hustle these boys have set up.
