Winnipeg is going to be so disappointed in the return
The gap between Suzuki and Kidney/Beck is quite substantial though. Suzuki just had back to back 100 point seasons in the OHL and was a 14th overall selection. So
Dvorak = Tatar in Vegas
Florida 1st > Vegas 2nd
Kidney or Beck < Suzuki
Add avs 2nd next year
And call it a day

Beck is a 2nd rounder that had 66 points in his D+1
How do you make up that gap in value?
I don’t agree … that’s life lolGood for me then that we live in reality and not la-la-land.
Only points actually scored are counted. Not what pace they were on for 82 games.

They know it, huh, how? Perrault also wanted to play in mtl and came just before he retired
Good luckor trade him to another team with an 8 year extension
Who would it be?Its possible the Jets might get a more heavy futures return once they evaluate the 5-6 returns from the various teams, the Jets might go ok the win now pieces being offered are bad so we will go with the greater value package which happens to be a futures heavy return. Its possible yes.
I suspect if they happened then they would be targeting near NHL ready prospects (like ready next year) and less about prospects 3-4 years down the road.
All this talk about Dach, he wouldn't even be the guy I would even want from the Habs if I was Chevy.
Suzuki only had one 100 points OHL season and there was a lot of concerns about his pace/skating at the time, which obviously isn’t much of a problem now.The gap between Suzuki and Kidney/Beck is quite substantial though. Would cost a 1st just to dump Dvorak...To
C Pierre-Luc Dubois
To
C Christian Dvorak
RW Filip Mesar
Florida's 2023 1st Rounder
...that's as high as I would go if I were Hughes and if he doesn't agree to an 8-year deal under $8.25 mill per, I wouldn't offer anything...
Perhaps PLD is giving false info out that he wants 9 million to drive suitors other than Montreal away.
if he wanted to drive suitors away he would do that by saying he won't sign longer then 1 year, instead it came out he's willing to extend long term with 5-6 teams, so no.. that doesn't make any sensePerhaps PLD is giving false info out that he wants 9 million to drive suitors other than Montreal away.
Perhaps you are giving PLD too much credit. This guy has done nothing and is constantly unhappy with his situation. If the 9M claim is false info, that doesn't do much. In fact, it may make Montreal laugh at him and ignore his beckon.Perhaps PLD is giving false info out that he wants 9 million to drive suitors other than Montreal away.
It’s really ignorant to say that in the best situation for Montreal, it’s a lateral move.MTL isn't going to move Dach. It's - at best - a lateral move with a lot of risk and salary taken on by the Habs.
Oh PLD is probably my least favourite player in the NHL. I’m not a fan of him or his attitude at all.Perhaps you are giving PLD too much credit. Kinda hope that happens. He deserves a reality check.

He has a career high 63 points, that is barely 1st line numbers these days, that is not a 8.5M player. And how he has gone about his career, he probably won't settle for a dime less than he wants.
what does this even mean? The salary offer must only be in the top 5 or 6. Then it's WPGs choice.
He might get low 8s.
He's already better than Dubois when all factors are taken into consideration. They're both second line players, but one is going to be overpaid by about four million dollars if he gets the contract he's been pursuing, while the other will be marginally underpaid. It’s really ignorant to say that in the best situation for Montreal, it’s a lateral move.
Good Lord…Dach’s further progression is not guaranteed. He probably won’t turn out to be as good as Dubois.
what does this even mean?
