Brisson is an agent who works for his client, PLD, not for the Jets.
If you were an agent and your client wants to play for his home team, would you work your ass off to accomodate the team or work towards your client's aspirations ?

I mean, this seems like an act of courtesy. "Sure, we will provide a list of 6 teams you can look and try to come to something. But you know he wants to play with MTL..."

Habs should opt out. Tell the Jets we have our focus on other teams. Let them talk to the Kings and have them low ball them on offers that fall around the Horvat and Trouba trades like we have done for almost a year now.

I really hope they take the Vilardi, M Roy, and pick offer (if that's at play). Vilardi looks like a 3C to me and a possible fringe 2C. Also, didn't Vilardi play mostly wing this year?

If Byfield and Dach were the offers or PLD, it's a toss up in my mind. Dach is somewhat more established, but Byfield is younger (the argument Habs fans use in favor of Dach all the time) and Byfield is bigger/stronger

At this stage, your GM is fully aware of the offers both Hughes made and our fan base has made. Trade him to the Kings because I fear the reactions towards Chevy if it ends up being a Trouba type return from the Habs.

I'm on the east coast and I do have French in my family but I'm mainly English. I have seen some fans inside of Quebec be very hard on Quebec born players. Very nasty at times. A Shaw talked about that about a year after he was traded away from the Habs. It's very noticeable

Curious, what is your low base offer and high base offer. Not a troll question. It's been a lot of Habs/Jets talk and only recently the Kings added.

What is the general consensus on what you would trade and what kind of contract the Kings would offer? I'm sure you have talked with several Kings fans by now on it?

Fair but the signs I get is Gorton/Hughes/MSL is trying to change that culture. Takes time. If you really listen to what they say, they clearly are aware of this issue. A lot of this is created by the Media and the gullible fans fall for it too much.

Having watched him the past few years, he brings a dimension to the game that goes beyond the points he puts up. Maybe a team with a smaller skilled forward group wants a bigger guy with some bit and is willing to pay

I am one that thinks Dubois really does want to come home but he also wants to be paid. I think he opened up his list to 5 or 6 teams because he is aware the Habs won't make an aggressive move and he also doesn't want to screw over the Jets. Yeah, he doesn't want to stay but saying he wants to play for the Habs only would screw them over.
