I'm fine with that tooWPG fans are so butthurt they'd rather lose PLD for nothing than trade him to the Habs

A lot of Habs fans are very insecure for some reason.
I don't really get it.
SOME Habs fans every time a report comes out that PLD is willing to end up elsewhereIs that supposed to be a proof that he will be happy to sign with other teams ?
Brisson is an agent who works for his client, PLD, not for the Jets.
If you were an agent and your client wants to play for his home team, would you work your ass off to accomodate the team or work towards your client's aspirations ?
I mean, this seems like an act of courtesy. "Sure, we will provide a list of 6 teams you can look and try to come to something. But you know he wants to play with MTL..."
I'm fine with that too
Depends in the marketSo you are telling me he qas better DESPITE a terrible wrist injury (Byfield wasn't)
Cool... So considering Dach was worth a 13th OA in a terrible draft, Byfield is worth around what, 20-30 this year for a similar prospect to 13 last year?

Neat. That should clean up these threads. Not really. Trade him to the Kings. Go ahead. We been telling you for almost a year now that we are interested but not desperate.

I'm sure.Like it or not, even if the Habs say we are out, we are still going to comment. You know, we do have a lot of fans with varying opinions.
Depends in the market
If Byfield and Dach were the offers or PLD, it's a toss up in my mind. Dach is somewhat more established, but Byfield is younger (the argument Habs fans use in favor of Dach all the time) and Byfield is bigger/stronger

Until there is a trade, or a legit source that says the habs are out, were probably going to stick around.Neat. That should clean up these threads.
Love it when a poster proves the point of my post in a reply to my postHabs are in the drivers seat, buddy. They'll take PLD at fair price, but they don't need him. WPG will not pass up on good value out of spite. They will go back to the Habs with a chance to beat any offer from other teams, and no other teams will be offering much for a guy who wants 8-9M and has quit on 2 teams. Sad reality check for Winnipeg.
Trouba was a one team listWaste of time. It's likely neither team has Byfield or Dach on the table..
I'm guessing you think the sign/trade increases Dubois trade value 8x right? Like you will get way more than what Horvat or Trouba got.![]()
A ton of Habs fans are taking people's reactions to PLD acting like a biatch very personally. You don't get it because we are not really insecure. Being firm and stating what you see is not insecure. You're just adding fuel to the fire and looking at it from one angle.
Honestly, I think the vast majority of us truly don't care where he goes, but we do want to get something done before the draft. We just want Chevy to get something decent back from wherever he is traded.WPG fans are so butthurt they'd rather lose PLD for nothing than trade him to the Habs
Serious question, who is going to give up serious value for PLD at 9 million, especially after quitting on 2 teams?Love it when a poster proves the point of my post in a reply to my post

Why? The rumor is Dubois wants 8x9M. At that price, I would like the Habs to drop any discussion with the Jets. Dubois is not worth 9M year and then you have to pay a lot to get hin. I do feel like Dubois is using the Habs to raise the price of his contract. I am one of those Habs fans that don't want to get Dubois to Montreal because I don't think he is since when he said he would like to play in Montreal.SOME Habs fans every time a report comes out that PLD is willing to end up elsewhere

I'm a francophone and it is my opinion that highly skilled francophone players should avoid playing for Montreal, it sounds like it can be a nightmare for the player and more importantly, his family (especially if there are children). How many people is a ton? I've seen several of them do it yeah. Same fans who attacked Danault calling him just a 3C and only worth $4M. Said Gallagher was the one who made him look good.
I'm on the east coast and I do have French in my family but I'm mainly English. I have seen some fans inside of Quebec be very hard on Quebec born players. Very nasty at times.
Come on POHO Lucky Luc Robitaille! Work your magic & get this done.

As i said on HFJets.. if he were willing to stay, I'd be happy with an 8 year contract with an AAV that starts with an 8Serious question, who is going to give up serious value for PLD at 9 million, especially after quitting on 2 teams?
Nobody is dying to make that trade.
