He needs to be on the right with Brady and Tim.

Brady needs to be the slowest winger on his line for it to be effective. Giroux’s pace makes Brady have to stretch out the ice more, and keeps him away from more stationary battle areas.

Batherson can forecheck and keep it moving in the neutral zone. Will unlock Brady as a result.
It's a tough one because there is some nice chemistry with Norris & Bath but I do like Bath with Tim & Brady.
Tim, Brady & Bath is our best possible first line combination but leaves the second line a little thin with Norris + Giroux + Greig/Gregor/Perron.

I think our toughest line to play against last year was Tkachuk - Pinto - Batherson towards the end of the season.

I'd put those 3 together.

Batherson is better when he's relied on to be a playmaker on a line. That's his biggest strenght. Partly why he was so good with Tkachuk and Norris.

He looked so good in the L.A. He was holding onto the puck for so long his dangles had much confidence it becomes part of the teams identity. the crazier the game got the better he got and he put the team on his back when they needed a goal and you love having players like that.

Would love to see Batherson and Norris get cooking and carry the team for a little win streak here.

Would love a backup goalie who can play the puck. Tough for the team to go from Ullmark who is smooth with the puck, to Forsberg, who is erratic, doesn't cover it, passes to dmen are poor.

Edit: wrong thread! Love the Drake.

He was pretty good last season too, just started slow (5 pts in first 11 games) but finished strong and had 61 pts in last 71 games (0.86 PPG). For sure it took him a while to round out to form, Antoine Roussel has been talking about it on TV on at least 2 different occasions, that you might get cleared to play but it might take much more time before you're back to being at your best.

But overall, since he graduated in 2020-21, he played all the games in all seasons except the stretch he missed because of Dell's cheapshot.

Having an iron man would be a great thing considering how many injury-prone players we have/had.

Batherson was a great player in Belleville & was having a geat yr going to the allstar game until that A-hole Buff goalie took him out & it has taken him a while to get healthy from the high ankle sprain. He has all kinds of talent & along with a healthy Norris provides another good line for the Sens.

When Batherson is being aggressive and physical he is a star. When he tries to be fancy he sucks. Hopefully he finds a way to play with the intensity he did today on a regular basis.

This is exactly it.

I think he will have a Zbad style boom and reach that next level. People will raise an eyebrow, but it wasn't until Zibanejad was roughly Batherson's age that he got to that next level and went from top 6 producer who sometimes turns it on into being a top 20 producer in the league who peaked near the top 5 for some seasons.

Probably one of his best games in a Sens uniform, just needs to score twice before he goes hard apparently.

Because of his tool set and work ethic he is the type of player that will really benefit from the right coach. Let's hope that what we hear about Green being a very strong communicator and an accountability coach unlocks another level in Bath.

We know the offensive skill is there, but if Green can motivate him night in night out, get him playing physical and using his speed to be a defensive asset we will have real beast on our hands.

Adding more Mike Richards type play to his game should be the goal.

My Top-9 is :

Tkachuk - Stutzle - Batherson
Greig - Norris - Giroux
Perron - Pinto - Amadio

Slots pretty well. Gives the team the potential for a dominant first line when all three players are going.

Second and third lines still look solid and could provide scoring. Maybe slightly top heavy, but I think there is enough to support that.
