Chabby was looking good this year and that was before the coaching tweaks and the arrival of JM.

He is also apparently a warrior for the team according to the coaching staff, so the mindset is there.
 
Batherson is one of the best plamakers on this team who can play on or elevate any line. It wasn't all that long ago he was headed for the all star game until that dickhead goalie in Buffalo took him out. Ottawa has a really good young core that hopefully are finally starting to come together. I expect that they should pick up at least 2 or 3 good draft picks this yr & a couple of good free agents over the summer & maybe promote one or two guys. As they enter their prime they should be getting better if they can get that fancy crap out of their game, manage the puck better & be harder to play against.

Just feel like drake deserves a bit more love recently.

Great contract, the guy has been really working hard and only Timothy brings more skill. Great shooter and great passer. Defence has improved. Work ethic has improved.

He's bounced back pretty well this year overall.

If it was those off-ice distractions affecting his game last season, he seems to be getting past it.

I think he's a ppg player next season.

It's really too bad he is unable to play for Team Canada. I would love to see him at the Worlds coming off a hot finish to the season.

Decent, casual interview with The Drake.

He discussed getting ready for the season with the Maritime boys, plus Pinto heading down for the last 2 weeks of August. He will be back in Ottawa by September.

Also mentioned he thought Norris was recovering well, to the point they don't even speak about the shoulder and how he thinks the team should be healthy to start the season (he said Chabots wrist looked, "awesome at his wedding" LOL). Apparently Chabot and Norris have both been golfing so that is positive with a wrist and shoulder injury, respectively.

Really good. Drake is awesome.
 
Id like to see him up his hit totals. Maybe double them. He is effective when he does it. He has the frame for it. At least outhit Stu.

I think we could see a break out season from the Drake. Big player tons of talent, this could be the year he puts it all together. The amount he improved after the coaching change last year was phenomenal. He was always on a much longer development curve than a regular player. I think 30/50 is absolutely possible.

Tkachuk Pinto Batherson as a possession dominating first line could render incredible results for this team if they want to be a playoff team. Big line with high IQ players that could tire out the opposition.

Tkachuk 40/35 Pinto 25/30 Drake 30/80

If his over under is 65 points I'm hammering the over.

Do you, or anyone else, know if he still trains in the summer with the Maritimers (Sid, Nate, Marchand, etc.)?

Those workouts always looked great and would have me feeling pretty bullish about Drake's coming season, if he still participates.

Ya he does, Pinto is supposed to be there now for 2 weeks.
His neighbour is Marchand.
