The Silver Knights are wearing teal and silver jerseys with white and black V stripes with black pants for their LV Thunder (IHL) night. They look better than yesterday's gear.

The Admirals are wearing white jerseys with navy blue pants. I assume that is because it is for the new year, when the AHL switches to dark jerseys at home.

Felhaber is playing and Kemell is not. Troy Grosenick is in goal today. Weatherby scored with 13:12 remaining in period 1. Assists by Gravel and mumble, mumble. With 8:25 remaining, O'Reilly scored a PPG with assists to McKeown and mumble. Two goals on 5 shots for Milwaukee. Jankowski nearly scored a shorty before the horn. The SOG were 13-9 Henderson.

Period 2 starts with 1:25 remaining in Del Gaizo's bogus Tripping penalty. With 10:22 remaining, Gross picked up the loose puck for the Ads third goal on 13 shots. Assists to Jankowski and Afanasyev. Del Gaizo shot from the top of the slot and pinged the center of the crossbar with about 7:30 left.
Goal 4 was L'Heureux to Jankowski to Egor Afanasyev. Egor had pinged the crossbar earlier on the shift. Four goals on 18 shots.
Egor with the glide and score to make it 5-0.
Bischoff just flattened his own goalie. Hasn't that poor guy suffered enough? The SOG were 11-3 Ads.

At the end of period 2, Geeretsen tried to start a fight. Before leaving, he stopped in front of the Admirals bench, pointed and said something. I hope the refs, the same ones as last night, give him a misconduct.
I see no good coming from that in period 3.
He was the same guy that injured Kemell.

There are 2 minutes up on the board for #4, plus a Gamer. Way to go refs! Ads scored goal #6 via Schaefer, with assists to mumble and mumble mumble. This PA guy is really bad. That happened about 4 minutes into the period. That was shot 27. The Ads had a 3-on-1 and Jankowski scored a SHG to make it 7-0. That was the final score.

Our backup goalie is much better than their backup goalie! Troy was the #1 Star.
Whyd kemell miss the game?

#4 Geeretsen, hit him hard along the side boards. I think that he jammed a wrist. That was why Gravel fought that guy in the Friday game immediately after it happened.

The same goon was ejected from Saturday's game for trying to start a fight at the end of period 2. Then he skated over to the Ads bench to point at them and say something. I believe that he left the bench to do all of that and skate into the Ads D-zone.

Saw the Hodgson news. Really odd. I was hopeful when he signed with us in 2015 that he could turn his career around. Maybe he can relaunch but is there really room for him on the roster in Milwaukee?

He was diagnosed with malignant hyperthermia which forced him to retire. I guess he has gotten treatment for it?

Definitely weird... I mean, if Hodgson had been playing pro somewhere, maybe... but he has just been recovering from his condition, working out/playing rec hockey or something? I guess he's only 34... but that's a looooooong time to be on the shelf. 8 years?

I spent 10 years as an athletic trainer, at first I thought you were joking, but it's real.

malignant hyperthermia - Google Suche

I have MS which makes my 'feel like' temp 20 F hotter than avg temp; thus 50 out side, feels like 70 to me. Will he play with a cooling system?

EDIT: And AT worst causes the body to reach 40C or 104F The brain starts to damage at 105F

my hope: he stays away from all gases ending with -ane including a high gas diet, (remember flatulence is methane) hell, wear a mask on the team plane/bus to avoid other's gas, plays well enough to get a contact and be a black ace.

expectations: not much

The Ads are hosting Texas tonight and tomorrow night. L'Heureux (9) scored on the second shot of the game. He skated in and went 5-hole on Matt Murray. He made it look easy.

Afanasyev scored a SHG off of Murray's glove to make 2-0. Then the wheels came off. Askarov let in 3 goals in the last 5 minutes of the period. He should have stopped 2 of them at the near post. The SOG were Ads 12-10.

Gross (5) scored from the blueline, assists to Felhaber and O'Reilly, about 9 minutes into period 2. The Ads are having a parade to the Penalty Box courtesy of Ref Jordan Deckard (#14), who only calls penalties on the home team. Texas got a minor from Ref Chris Waterstradt (#88). Jankowski (11) tipped Thompson's shot from the blue line to make 4-3 Milwaukee. The last 2 minutes has seen a lot of checking. Stars tied it with 33 seconds remaining. SOG 15-12 Texas.

Askarov does not look sharp. I would have taken him out for period 2.

Continued below. My phone is acting up.

Angello called for Tripping when the Star player lost an edge. It was Deckard on the call. Poor officiating by old #14.

Egor held on the boards, no call. He passed to Stastney, who scored another SHG. In your eye, Deckard! Ads lead 5-4 with 7 minutes remaining in period 3.

L'Heureux getting mugged. No call by Deckard, the swine! Murray pulled with 2 minutes to go. The Texas bench waived at him 3 times before he saw the signal. He is really washed up, even with a 2.80 GAA in the AHL. That will be higher tomorrow with 5 goals allowed in about 58 minutes. The Admirals could have scored 7 or 8 if they could get the puck on frame more often.

#1 Star was Egor Afanasyev with 1G, 2A.
#2 Star was Statsney with 1G, 1A.

The Admirals would not have won without their efforts the entire game. Egor was on the PK for 1:45 of a minor. He actually looked tired for the last 15 seconds. I have never seen him look tired before!

The next game is 6 PM CT against Texas tomorrow night. The Packer's game starts at 7:15. Go Pack Go!!!

Think things have turned back into a pumpkin for Sherwood and Smith, given up on Glass. Trenin may not be consistent enough to be anything more than 3rd line filler.

It is the Texas Stars again tonight. Milwaukee is 6 points ahead of them. Cody Hodgson is wearing #11 in the warm up session for the Ads. The UW Badger band is here. On a sad note, so is ref Jordan Deckard (#14). I hope that he calls penalties on BOTH teams and not just the Admirals, like he did last night. My daughter hopes that he swallows his whistle and does not call any penalties. I will settle for Deckard just swallowing his whistle and choking.

Askarov is in net again. Kemell is not playing. Angello with a crushing hit on #2, Artem Grushnikov. He got up surprisingly fast. Svechkov shot the puck over the crossbar when Poirier was down and mostly out of the crease. That should have been a goal. Gicewicz called for Interference by Deckard and the Ads seem angry about the call 6 minutes into the game. Askarov wanted an offside call and did not get it. Twelve seconds left in the penalty. Texas gets 2 for Hooking from Ref Brendan Schreider (#20). (Did I call this or what!) Nobody scored and 9 minutes remain.

L'Heureux (10) scored with an assist to Jankowski (27). Weatherby (7) knocked the puck loose in the SW corner, recovered it, and shot it over Poirier's left leg pad to make it 2-0. Schaefer (6) got an assist. Team Captain Curtis McKenzie played like a goon for the last 10 seconds of the period. He wanted to fight Stastney in the NW corner after the period ended. Pretty brave for somebody 6'2" to go after a 5'11" guy. Curtis is a piece of trash and a dirty player! My wife just asked why no penalties were called. The SOG were 13 each.

Karl Taylor has 180 wins as Admirals coach, 3rd on the all time list. I will guess that Phil Witliff is #1 with about 500 wins.

In period 2, Texas had too many men, not called, just like 3 times last night. Stastney (4) scored on a snipe, like last night. Assists to McKeown and Svechkov. Good for Spencer, the Stars have been picking on him. Texas with a PPG after an iffy Holding call on Svechkov by Deckard. If that was Holding, then Texas did that 10 times last night and Mr Loser NEVER called one.

Milwaukee 3, Texas and Deckard 1, about 7 minutes into period 2. Texas scored a goal without Deckard help to make it 3-2Ads. Now 4-2 after a Frosty Four goal by Schaefer (2) with an assist to somebody. Texas scored over Askarov's glove to make it 4-3 Ads. Penalty on Del Gaizo for crosschecking. The Texas player took a dive! Schreider called that one. Look for Marc to be looking for that guy, Berard. L'Heureux went to the box for breathing. Embellishment, Unsportsmanlike, Misconduct and a Gamer. That was ref #20. The other guy got 2 minutes for Cross Checking. There was along round of "Refs you Suck" chants. Maybe a minute long.

The Refs have it in for L'Heureux! He got mugged a few times last night and nothing was called. His neck was bent the wrong way one time and even that was not called.

These refs better call period 3 straight or everybody but the Girl Scouts will be after them!

You could hear some boos when the refs came out. There would have been a lot more, but the Badger band was playing. Texas was booed a lot when they came out. The Ads fan are surly!

The Ads were close on some deflections. Weatherby crushed a guy in the SE corner. Gravel just flattened #5 by Askarov's crease. I think the Ads are playing angry. Texas with too many men, again . The idiot refs should be calling that. (The 49ers committed a few penalties that were not called, so I guess bad officiating is not confined to the AHL.)

OMG, Deckard called Hooking on Texas #26, Michael Karow. Del Gaizo called for a BS penalty. There was no holding. The players bounced off the sideboards and spun around and got tangled up. Only a blind ref would call a penalty! The Ads passed behind Egor or it might be a goal.

Jankowski just got mugged and no call. His stick was knocked away, then the Star player put him in a hammerlock so he could not pick it up. That was #15. That was BS!

There is a Texas stick caught in the Texas net and sticking way out near the right post. The officials left it there, so Poirier had to pull it out. This game has moved to farce!
Six minutes left. Stankovic acted like he was going to high stick a passing Admiral.
Texas just scored an illegal goal. The stick was over the player's head and was immediately disallowed. Askarov with a good save, 2 minutes left and an empty Texas net.The Ads scored. It was Cal (6).

After the game, one of the Texas players rifled the puck at the crowd. It hit just below the top of the giant net behind the south goal (my end). Somebody could have been seriously injured or killed. That player should get a 5 or 10 game suspension from the AHL!

The final score was 5-3 Admirals. Texas is now eight points behind first place Milwaukee (49 pts), with both teams playing 35 games. The Ads have won 7 games in a row. The team record is 11.
