You missed a whole bunch earlier in the period from the same player. My daughter said that Dach could have been called for eight penalties against L'Heureux. I thought the number was more like ten penalties.

The SHIT refs called NONE against Dach. Karl Taylor made it sound like the Admirals are going to send a tape of period 1 to the AHL office. I think that they should, so that Dach can be suspended for being a Federal League Goon, because he was in this game. There is no excuse for that either. I don't blame L'Heureux for his retaliation.

The refs, Jake Jackson and Stan Szczurek should be suspended. They did not protect L'Heureux at all during 12.5 game minutes!
That is part of why I rated them one out of ten. Stan was trash here earlier this season.
I don't recall seeing Jackson before and I hope that he NEVER comes back to Milwaukee.
I did see all the uncalled stuff though. L’Heureux got cross checked while laying on the ice next to the net, and there were a couple other hits that could have been called as well. None of that justifies skating after another player and throwing a sucker punch to the head from behind. Slash the back of his calves, board him or plenty of other options that would have resulted in a 2 minute penalty if caught. He let his temper get the better of him once again and did something stupid. Unfortunately he has a history of that kind of behavior, other players around the league know it and are going to use it against him for the rest of his career.

The problem is teams are going to do that to L'Heureux forever because they know it'll draw penalties or even misconducts. The only thing that will make it stop is L'Heureux learning discipline.

You can be a pest in the NHL but you have to know how to turn the penalty balance in your own team's favor. L'Heureux, to this point, is less pest and more hothead.

Gordie Howe , Mark Messier scored so many points because people were scarred to death of ebows from hell. This gave them extra space other punks did'nt get. I thought the sucker punch was poetry in motion. Dach reaped what he sowed . L'Heureux reminds me of Jordin Tootoo . God must be a Preds fan to bless us with 2 players like this . My hope is L'Heureux turns out to be the biggest rat in hockey ! A Brad Marchand Boston BRUINS type of player . By the way its never said in open but scouts love hockey rats so does TROTZ , TROTZ would cut off his pinky toe to have Brad Marchand. TROTZ favorite player was Scot NICHOL, Look up his highlights! Rat is a term of endearment in hockey. Kalen Lind has a 2023 draft pick has a ratter reputation than L'Heureux . The first thang The preds told him was don't change your game at all ! 1

Marchand like any good rat is almost always in control of his emotions and knows all too well how to draw and not take a penalty

Not a good comparison

Well, I watched the clip of this and that was a nasty dirty hit, maybe I will throw my 2 cents in.

The refs have to control the game, if there really was other bullshit before this hit then the refs really should be fired for letting all of that happen. Now, if they had called a penalty and L'Heureux still did that then I would agree that he's hurting his team by nullifying a penalty but that's not the case.

Since you were not there, you saw what the TV director wanted you to see. I was there and I was watching L'Heureux get mugged for his entire first two shifts by Dach. It did not make a difference if he had the puck or not.

I agree that teams target L'Heureux because of his temper. I would not have lasted 12.5 minutes before going after Dach. After the first two shifts, Dach was not out there when L'Heureux was. It makes me think that Rockford's coach sent Dach out to do that and maybe Taylor switched up his line order to avoid that match up. Zach had enough when his skates were kicked out on the side boards by Dach. That is what my daughter and I saw. That is when Zach went after Dach. I had a distant view since it was near the far blue line, but I was watching those two instead of the puck at that point.

None of the on ice officials did anything. They were terrible most of the game, out of position, making bad calls, not calling obvious penalties until the last 5 minutes of the game and the OT. If you look at the game summary, you will see that Rockford got 3 minors to make it look good at the end. More game mismanagement by the refs to cover their previous mismanagement for 55 minutes.

Nolan Allen got the last penalty. He also scored a goal. He is Karl Taylor's nephew.

The teams play each other at 4 PM today. Don't be surprised if there are a lot of fights or a line brawl in the game. This goes beyond division rivalry, it is dislike. I hate the Chicago Blackhawks organization and their farm team, the IceHogs. That has gone on for 10 years, since the April Fools Day brawl caused by Rob Schick jumping goalie Jeremy Smith during a second period time out.

I honestly don’t think it was that bad. If you’re going to cheap shot someone like that you’ve got to be ready to answer the bell. Skating off like that is a chickenshit move. Almost any player is going to retaliate after a hit like that and if you don’t want to square up then you can get a cheap shot in return.

Also, was Dach actually hurt? Looks to me like he was doing a bit of a sell job.

I'm never a fan of sucker punches because it can be pretty dangerous, but if you are going to continually go after a guy like that then you better be willing to eat the consequences.

Frankly sounds like they need to suspend the Refs more than the players. This wasn't a case of one blown call, they practically forced it to happen when they didn't put a stop to it early.

Yeah I see why he was pissed and watch the replay closely, that wasn't a sucker punch but retaliation. Dach looks over his shoulder before the hit was made, he knew he was coming and turned away from him anyways.

Way it looks to me Dach not turning to face him willingly caused his own injury.

Figured he'd get some kind of discipline. Two games isn't much, or three if you add in the ejection.

Still have no problem with it. That hit was viscous and very late, L'Heureux literally landed on his face, there's no call for plays like that in hockey. Dach was playing stupid games and he won a prize. Bet he never does that to L'Heureux again, this is exactly where the phrase "police the game" came from and that's how players learned who they could and couldn't f*** with.

Also, there wasn't a punch AND Dach turns away from a guy he knows is coming for retribution after that crosscheck, so that probably had some bearing on the suspension.

Grigals will play in goal for Milwaukee today. This will be his AHL debut, against Rockford. This is the 5th of 12 meetings.

After one period, the IceHogs lead 1-0 on a 5-on-3 PPG. The SOG were 6-5 IceHogs.

At 1:44 into period 2, Anthony Angello (3) scored with assists to Fedor Svechkov (9) and Kevin Wall (3) to make it 1-1. Ten minutes later, Rockford scored to take the lead again. Del Gaizo (4) scored from behind the net at 15:35. The puck went off of Mitchell Weeks' leg and into his net. One minute later, Gurianov was called for slashing. The IceHogs went on their 6th PP and scored again, one minute later.

Jankowski shot the puck at the buzzer and was rammed by Baddock seconds later. No call by Stan the disease Szczurek or Peter Tarnaris, a native of Long Grove, IL, according to Scouting The Refs. The SOG were 12-8 IceHogs. The Ads had 4 minors in period 2 to Rockford's zero penalties. Two of those were Unsportsmanlike by Schaefer and Weatherby. They have a total of 31 PIMs between them in 28 games.

The Admirals always seem to be on the short end of the PIMs. In period 3 so far, Rockford 9 PIMs, now 11 minutes, versus the Ads 19 PIMs.

Gurianov (12) scored at 14:40 into the period with assists to Gross (8) and Afanasyev (9). Rockford scored 18 seconds later to go up 4-3. The game ended with the IceHogs icing the puck, which was waived off because the officials wanted to see the highlights for the Bears! The SOG were 12-8 Ads despite their 19 PIMs in the period.

Quite a tilted penalty count in this afternoons Milwaukee-Rockford game, two separate unsportsmanlike conducts, a 10 minute game misconduct for abuse of officials. Looking forward to the highlights/ a summary.

The Ads are hosting the Colorado Eagles tonight. Expect a fast and hard checking game by both teams. Colorado has Royal Blue jerseys and pants. Askarov is in goal for Milwaukee. Foudy is playing RW. It is the first time that I have seen him play. He is fast, but needs some more size.

It took the Ads 14 minutes to get a SOG, but just 2 more minutes to get the 2nd one. After shot #3, Egor drew a Penalty Shot via #7, the Eagles' team captain Brad Hunt, for a slash to the hands. Egor did not convert. That was 18:40 into the period.
It was 0-0 after one period. The SOG were 15-8 Eagles.

Colorado with too many men for 10 seconds or more, 3 minutes into period 2. No call. Still tied at zero after two periods. The SOG were 9-7 Eagles. The Admirals looked better in period 2 than in period 1.

In period 3, the Ads went about 10 minutes without a SOG. That included a 2 minute PP when Colorado was called for Too Many Men at 3:35, very similar to the non-call in period 2. The SOG were 5-4 Eagles. The play was very up and down the ice, without many SOGs.

Both goalies made near fatal mistakes. Askarov had the puck caught in his skates just outside the crease and landed helpless on his back. Annunen passed the puck to an Admiral on a clear attempt and that player missed the empty net from 20 feet. I think that was Reid Schaefer.

It was on to OT. The Admirals starters nearly put the puck into their own net with bad passing. When the second three came out, it was a different story. Kemell (12) passed to Svechkov (10) who found Marc Del Gaizo (5) in the slot for a one-timer that went into the net for his first GWG in Milwaukee at 1:08 of OT. The Admirals won 1-0 over the 7th place in the Pacific Division Eagles. Askarov celebrated his 4th AHL Shut Out in front of 4400 fans. The OT SOG were 2-1 for the home team Admirals.

Askarov was the #1 Star with 30 saves, Justus (you-stus) Annunen was #2 with 21 saves. Egor Afanasyev was the #3 Star and "The Energy Player of the Game". He seemed to be all over the ice and did everything except score.

The two teams will play on Saturday at 6 PM on Winter Hat Night; always a popular event.

Always appreciate these. Did Askarov bench press/lay the cage down?
