L'Heureux (7) scored a highlight reel goal. He checked 2 Eagles off of the puck, then came into the O-zone, cut into the slot, shot the puck, got the rebound and chipped it into the net. Foudy (1) carried the puck in and tucked it past the goalie inside the far post and over the right leg pad. SOG were 14-9 Admirals. It was 2-0 Ads.

In period 2, Svechkov (10) cut through the circles and fired the puck into the net. Assists to a Dman and Askarov (1?) making it 3-0 versus Colorado early in the period. Ivan Ivan missed the net from inside the dot. That is why the Eagles are losing combined with Askarov's stellar play. McKeown was elbowed in the head in the SE corner. No call from ref Bobby Joe Love (#51). He was 10 feet away and looking at it. He stinks as a ref!

Askarov went to the SE corner and passed the puck to the 2nd Eagle into the zone. Del Gaizo with a stick save. Next time into the Ads zone, the puck hit a stanchion and went through the empty crease when Askarov ducked out the far side to go behind the net. L'Heureux to Egor for the 4th goal. It is being reviewed. Egor (14) tipped it in through a crowd, with 5:08 remaining. Assists to Jankowski and L'Heureux. Now 4-0 Ads. SOG were 13-10 Ads.

Carson Gicewicz (guh-sieve-vich) just scored his first Ads goal and the 5th one tonight. He knocked a chip shot into the net and over the goalie. Still 7 minutes remaining.

Ads won 5-0. Jankowski was the #1 Star with FOUR assists. Askarov was #2 Star.

Milwaukee had 38 SOG. They dominated tonight, but Colorado still played well. The game was closer than the final score would indicate. Karl Taylor must have watched a lot of tape from yesterday's 1-0 win.

Askarov might be pretty close to ready for an NHL backup gig. Clean up some of the more adventurous play and I think he's almost there. I don't want him to lose all of that since its part of what makes him special but he can definitely take it too far sometimes.

Right now he's better off starting down there but next year he should be up with the Preds

Afanaseyev with another game winner last night. He also had an assist.

Kemell with a goal and an assist.
Svech with a goal as well.

Askarov's shutout streak came to an end but still had a solid game.

I really want to see Afanaseyev up here at the end of the year. He will require waivers next year and id like to get an extended look at him in the nhl. He is really cookin right now in the AHL. Numbers similar to Trenin when he broke out in the AHL the year he got called up. If the wheels continue to fly off and we trade a few players like Trenin, Afanasyev seems like the obvious replacement.

Tomorrow my wife and I head for Las Vegas. The Admirals play the Henderson Silver Knights at 9 PM CT and again on Saturday at 5 PM CT. I will try to report. This is my first road game since 1994 versus the Wolves in their Inaugural Season.

On Monday, the Preds play at 3 PM local time, 5 PM CT, against the Golden Knights. This will be our first road game for Nashville. Not the same as going to Prague!

Milwaukee, shown in 2nd place in their division behind Texas, even though they have 20 wins and 41 points to the Stars 19 wins and 41 points, takes on 6th place Henderson tonight on the road.

The Admirals came out in their white home unis. Henderson has silver jerseys with black pants white silver and black socks with one gold stripe dividing the silver tops from the black bottom halves.

The Dollar Loan Center Arena seats 5500 or so. At 3:12, Kemell was taken hard into the boards and got up slowly. Gravel went after #4, who is bigger than the 6'5" Gravel. They wrestled more than fought. Henderson is good defensively. They have also been good at tripping people off of the puck. I have seen three in the first 8 minutes.

After one period, it is 0-0. The SOG were 11-6 Knights. Askarov has looked sharp. Kemell threw a few checks at the end of the period. He had looked hurt for 15 minutes. The refs, 83 and 46, did a good job.

The game day crew is mostly loud and shrill without much substance. My wife said that they were "cheesy".

With 4:26 remaining, the Ads 14th SOG went into the net. No announcement? Foudy with an assist to Del Gaizo and O'Reilly, two game minutes later. Benson just knocked down an Admiral in their own crease. They had quite a gathering of players after that.

The Ads had the first 4 SOG, but the second period was 14-7 Knights, but the Ads had some better chances.

Henderson picked up a minor for Holding with 6 seconds remaining. We will see if their PK is any good.

Gross from the point on the PPG. I did not catch the assists. Henderson goal disallowed. I think that the ref blew the whistle before the puck went into the goal. The PA never gave any explanation.

Lucky the Horse came to Section 16. The Silver Knights pulled their goalie with about 2 minutes to go. Now 27 seconds. TO for Henderson. Ads win 2-0. Askarov with his 3rd SO in 4 games. The SOG were 33-21 Silver Knights.

A guy from our party won the 50-50 drawing, called 52-48 out here. We ran into the Admirals owner Harris Turer after the game. He thanked the group for coming out to the game. A guy working a refreshment stand told me that the Admirals brought more fans than San Diego or Ontario, CA had. He seemed to be amazed. The Ads liked it too.

My wife and I flew in yesterday as well to meet my parents in Vegas. None of us have ever been so it’s a nice vacation with the added benefit of being able to go to a Preds away game. Hopefully we get two good games in Nevada!

The Silver Knights are wearing teal and silver jerseys with white and black V stripes with black pants for their LV Thunder (IHL) night. They look better than yesterday's gear.

The Admirals are wearing white jerseys with navy blue pants. I assume that is because it is for the new year, when the AHL switches to dark jerseys at home.

Felhaber is playing and Kemell is not. Troy Grosenick is in goal today. Weatherby scored with 13:12 remaining in period 1. Assists by Gravel and mumble, mumble. With 8:25 remaining, O'Reilly scored a PPG with assists to McKeown and mumble. Two goals on 5 shots for Milwaukee. Jankowski nearly scored a shorty before the horn. The SOG were 13-9 Henderson.

Period 2 starts with 1:25 remaining in Del Gaizo's bogus Tripping penalty. With 10:22 remaining, Gross picked up the loose puck for the Ads third goal on 13 shots. Assists to Jankowski and Afanasyev. Del Gaizo shot from the top of the slot and pinged the center of the crossbar with about 7:30 left.
Goal 4 was L'Heureux to Jankowski to Egor Afanasyev. Egor had pinged the crossbar earlier on the shift. Four goals on 18 shots.
Egor with the glide and score to make it 5-0.
Bischoff just flattened his own goalie. Hasn't that poor guy suffered enough? The SOG were 11-3 Ads.

At the end of period 2, Geeretsen tried to start a fight. Before leaving, he stopped in front of the Admirals bench, pointed and said something. I hope the refs, the same ones as last night, give him a misconduct.
I see no good coming from that in period 3.
He was the same guy that injured Kemell.

There are 2 minutes up on the board for #4, plus a Gamer. Way to go refs! Ads scored goal #6 via Schaefer, with assists to mumble and mumble mumble. This PA guy is really bad. That happened about 4 minutes into the period. That was shot 27. The Ads had a 3-on-1 and Jankowski scored a SHG to make it 7-0. That was the final score.

Our backup goalie is much better than their backup goalie! Troy was the #1 Star.
