He's JUST turned 20 and he's projected to be a 3rd liner, patience.
Young guy, first quarter season as a pro, fringe 1st rounder, not a great skater, big body power forward. Yeah I agree, there's absolutely nothing that tells me we should be expecting this guy to be lighting it up. Patience is the key for this one. Just check in in the off season, forget he's a prospect otherwise. See where he is at when he hits 22-23.

Ads at Chicago. No score in period 1.

Egor Afanasyev scored #13 seconds after a PP ended in period 2. Chicago tied it with a PPG. In period 3, L'Heureux scored. Chicago tied it at 2 each.

Grimaldi had a breakaway in OT, but Statsney caught him. Then L'Heureux had a breakaway going the other way and scored, goal #6 on a 3 point night. The Ads are 3-0 in Chicago this season. Askarov had 19 saves.

3 pt game for L’Hereux

L’Hereux, Svechkov, and Kemmells success as rookies demonstrate how mediocre of a prospect Afanasyev is
Doesnt mean he cant become a useful NHL player (see Trenin). His progression in the minor league is basically a mirror image of Trenin. They are similar stature. Both can PK/etc. Afanaseyev is honestly a pretty good choice for Trenin replacement should management opt to not extend him. Bottom 6 type utility player with size.

Visiting my girlfriend’s family and her mom won a suite to the Bridgeport Islanders vs. Providence Bruins game tonight. Was looking through the rosters and man what barren prospect pools those teams have. Makes me very thankful to be where we are now in that regard.

Ads up 3-0 after 11 minutes of game against Chicago. After the third goal by O'Reilly, there was a fight before the puck drop. It was Egor and Max Comtois. They both got 5 and gamers.

Goal 1 was by Svechkov on a wrister from below the top of the right circle inside the near post through traffic. Goal 2 was from the same area inside the far post by Jankowski, also a wrister through traffic.

The Wolves scored a quick PPG. Conacher just elbowed Grosenick and there was no call. Ads 3-1 with 16 SOG to 11.

Early in period two, Chicago scored on goaltender Interference by Franco. Taylor talked to both refs, who did not review it. That prompted about a minute of the "ref you suck" chant. Ads 3-2 at 13:53. It

It wasn't an accident that our leading goal scorer was involved in a dead puck fight. Chicago scored five hole on Troy. He should have stopped that one. At 11:20 remaining in period 2, it is 3-3. Melnick digging at Troy when his pads completely covered the puck. Two Ads shoved Melnick to the end boards and McKeown spoke to one of the refs about it. Kincaid, took his mask off for the second time during play. Neither the puck nor an Admiral was close to him. Chicago scored on bad defense to take a 4-3 lead. Gurianov scored in the last minute to make it 4-4.

Somewhat interestingly Anthony Richard with 2 goals and 1st star of the game too.

At 4 minutes into period 3, Kevin Wall scored after a stanchion deflection. A Wolves player just took a dive and L'Heureux was called for Tripping. On the replay, it did not look close. Ads on the PK with a 5-4 lead. Wall was grabbed from behind on a breakaway. No call. There is 8:51 remaining.

At 7:20 remaining, Rocco Grimaldi was called for Hooking L'Heureux in the slot. Gurianov (10) scored a PPG with 6:04 remaining with assists to Jankowski (18) and Gross (6). Kincaid was pulled with 2 minutes to go. Jankowski (8) scored an ENG 26 seconds later to make it 7-4, with assists to Del Gaizo (11) and Schaefer (4).
The SOG were 38-31 Ads.

Stars of the Game: #1 Dennis Gurianov with 2 G and 2 A, #2 Cal O'Reilly 1 G 1 A, #3 was Fedor Svechkov with 1 G in front of 7684 fans.

Troy Grosenick had 27 saves in his 7th win in a row. Grigals was the backup goalie.

Milwaukee has won 4 of 5 versus Chicago. Only 7 more games to go versus the last place Wolves.

The next game is Saturday at 6 PM versus the 4th place Rockford IceHogs. Milwaukee is 7-3 in their last 10 games.

Ads hosting the now 5th place Rockford.
The IceHogs scored first, Wall was not covering his guy in the slot. The Ads came back seconds later to tie it and were ahead in SOG 9-6 at that time. Weatherby went behind the net and was tripped. It was the first penalty that the refs saw. Weatherby slid into the SE corner, got up and recovered the puck. He went back behind the net for what looked to be a near post stuff and slid the puck inside the far post for his third goal of the season. Three IceHogs stood there and watched him do it.

The next time that L'Heureux came out, Colton Dach #28, took his skates out from behind along the boards. L'Heureux got up and made a bee line for Dach standing in the high slot. Where he got there, he slugged the 6'4" Dach in the face and seemed to knock him out. He did not get up for about two minutes and was helped off the ice. L'Heureux was given 5 for fighting and a Match Penalty. The Major was served by Wall. The Ads killed it off, but Rockford got 10 SOG out of it.

I can you that during L'Heureux's first two shifts of the game, Dach followed him around and just beat on him. Punched him, slashed him, elbowed him and yanked on his jersey. The refs never called anything. Dach got what him richly deserved. He did not come back, which is good, because I think the other Admirals would have been beating on him even after the final horn. The final SOG was 21-11 IceHogs. The refs were a disgrace!

Four minutes into period 2, Rockford has knocked a net off three times so far in the game. Schaefer was just Cross Checked in front of the IceHogs bench. No call. It was quite a loud boom. Gurianov has nailed a few IceHogs with big checks. Egor just dropped a guy that was holding his arm in the SW corner. Rockford just scored on a dislodged net. The crowd is getting angry. It was waived off after a review, thank goodness. That left post was off for 5 or 10 seconds. I can not believe that any of the 4 officials could not see that it was off by a foot! These guys are terrible! They don't seem to be paying attention to the game. Hardman just Cross Checked Statsney while he was standing at the side of Troy's. The ref, who was 20 feet away, called it. Ads scored a PPG seconds later on a rebound to Del Gaizo, with assists to Afanasyev and Svechkov. Ads 2-1. Now 3-1 on Weatherby's (3) goal at 17:28. Assists to Angello and a player to be named later. Two IceHogs just collided inside the Ads blue line. #73 did not get up quickly. Goal #4 with 15.9 seconds left by Gurianov (14) with an assist to Statsney.

Rockford scored in the first 90 seconds of period 3 to make it 4-2 Ads. Jalen Luypen, #73 for Rockford, came back. I am surprised because he was down for about 30 seconds, got up and then fell down again in period 2 after that collision with his teammate. I am not a doctor, but I think he had a concussion because his teammate did hit him hard in the head.

Rockford scored with 11:25 remaining from the hashmark on a slap shot to make 4-3. Troy Grosenick had no chance on that shot. The Ads are short 2 guys with 5:30 remaining. Rockford scored with 4:10 to tie it. Give an assist to ref Stan Szczurek. Rockford penalty, #62 Brett Seney for Tripping. Bryce Fetzer just call off side on the Ads when the puck never went over the blue line. He needs a vision check. Rockford with too many men for the third time. They never get called for it. We go to OT. The SOG were 8-7 Rockford. I would say that 7000 fans are here tonight to witness this "officiating".

Rockford hit the post, Ads almost scored on the counter. Brett Seney 2 minutes for Tripping. Rockford with too many men again! Ads called for off side when they never made a zone entry. Rockford for Tripping again! Nolan Allen with 10.7 seconds left. IceHogs with a TO baby. SOG 6-2 Ads. Now we have a shoot out. Gurianov over the crossbar. Telly scores. Officials goof up again during the Shoot Out by putting the puck down but were not ready for Gross. They had to call him back. I have NEVER seen that before in 25 years of Shoot Outs! Gross scores. Bjorn misses. Egor scores. Gust denied! Ads win!

Ref Ratings: Jake Jackson (#76) gets a one. Stan Szczurek (#73) gets a one.

Linespersons Ratings: T J Lyle #88 a 2.
Bryce Fetzer #65 gets a one. I don't think I ever gave that score to a non-ref before.
They were all poor tonight. A 5 is average.

Watching the Ads game. The incident with L’Heureux was inexcusable. Yes he got cross checked in the back while playing the puck but he can’t jump up, chase after a player and sucker punch them from behind like that. I’m guessing a multiple game suspension is coming his way for that chicken shit outburst.

You missed a whole bunch earlier in the period from the same player. My daughter said that Dach could have been called for eight penalties against L'Heureux. I thought the number was more like ten penalties.

The SHIT refs called NONE against Dach. Karl Taylor made it sound like the Admirals are going to send a tape of period 1 to the AHL office. I think that they should, so that Dach can be suspended for being a Federal League Goon, because he was in this game. There is no excuse for that either. I don't blame L'Heureux for his retaliation.

The refs, Jake Jackson and Stan Szczurek should be suspended. They did not protect L'Heureux at all during 12.5 game minutes!
That is part of why I rated them one out of ten. Stan was trash here earlier this season.
I don't recall seeing Jackson before and I hope that he NEVER comes back to Milwaukee.
