Here's the biggest problem I see with Carolina as a matchup for Florida: Brindamour is a good coach.

A number of teams have been knocked out of this postseason because their coaches are dumb. I will give that to Paul Maurice, he has given the team a chance to win. You can't say the same of Ruff, Montgomery, or Woodcroft. I'd add Sheldon Keefe there, but I think the Leafs problem is just that his 'core four' consisted of one bloated corpse, two absolute LOSERS, and Nylander.

Here's the situation.

Carolina plays like we play, they are just better at it.

They are the #1 forecheck. We were two.

We have better top end talent they have better depth

Their D core as a whole are much better than ours across all 3 pairs.

If we get Leaf Bob we have the advantage in net.

Our PP is actually better (currently 2nd behind Edmonton. Shocking I know)

But Their PK is at 90% which is astounding.

I think they are much faster but we are heavier.

All the neighborhood kids got sticks and gloves and goals and started playing. We learned to ice skate at the ice den when it first opened. We went to sunrise with our high school sports teams, we watched the team get gutted year after year. We paid our dues. We deserve it.

I know the feeling been here since day one also. Fell in love with the game and have been here through all the crappy seasons and urinal cakes with the team logos in the bathroom stalls. (Yormark years) Dragged tons of friends to games and got them into the sport with the vouchers I'd get because my mom worked for local radio station and we were poor (Ty Mom). Found this board in middle school when it was still just Hockey's Future and the Denis Shvidki hype train was going full force. The whole fanbase has suffered enough and through the years I've always been here lurking watching the old posters come and go very season no matter what. Its been a crazy ride but I think we all deserve this .Why not us?
