I kinda get where Mik was coming from now - he can play a few great games and he still plays 12-13 min a night. Others can go a year without scoring on the PP, make horrendous lazy plays, look like they're giving 50% effort and they still get over 20 min

Do you watch football?

There's only so many dropped passes (WR) you can make before the coach limits your playing time.

Now apply that to Mik. The goal is to win games not watch Mik show off his skating.

Dubas had a better resume and more experience running a team than Brisbois.

Yet an another uninformed post from you.

BriseBois spent nine seasons with the Montreal Canadiens after joining the organization on September 1, 2001, as director of legal affairs.
In July 2003, he added director of hockey operations to his duties.
He was named vice president of hockey operations on July 24, 2006. In this capacity, BriseBois oversaw the Canadiens' AHL affiliate, the Hamilton Bulldogs.
On July 16, 2010, BriseBois was hired by Lightning general manager Steve Yzerman to serve as assistant general manager.
On September 11, 2018, BriseBois was named as general manager of the Tampa Bay Lightning

So almost 17 years in NHL organizations before becoming an NHL GM.

So now tell me how Dubas had a better resume and more experience running a team than Brisbois

The point is - there's no accountability. He doesn't necessarily have to score but if he shows hustle heart, determination, there's no reward at all. Its not just Mik either just an example, Throw the guys that are showing up a bone now and then. And if they're that down onMik, for 1.6, move him.

It's all an act with that poster, the name gives it a way.
Probably another Dekes alt.

Never believed in his theory of building a team.
Signing JT was his first mistake
Hiring Sheldon Keefe was his second mistake.
Not knowing how to build a team
We have had one Good season the last 3 yrs

Yes I have seen the prust quote but didnt he have a beef with Dubas? Anyone else...I mean anyone else ever mention the same thing or are we saying its true because one disgruntled guy said it?

Do you think a guy would just make something like that up?....Why is it so hard to believe?...Dubas is all about optics with this team...why would he not do something like that if he is insecure?

I do like that you use the word accountability.

However Mik gets minimum 14 minutes a night. There's no story here. You said it yourself. Accountability. There's too many "dropped passes" to trust him with those scoring chances in the top 6. Clutch goals is our main problem right now. Mik is a symbol of anti-clutch. Do I really need to post the youtube clip of Mik missing the open net to send us to the secound round.

No I know what he's all about. In general though, when you see 16 or 34 (16 especially) struggling or giving half-assed efforts, there are no consequences. None. How do the other players feel about that?! Even Jumbo was trotted out there every game after playing like crap for weeks/months

Okay yeah we've found some common ground. I see what you're saying.

If tonight goes bad there needs to be harsher consequences for the main guys.

So he himself has never been GM of any organization?

And your ignorance of the subject at hand continues......

As vice president of hockey operations, BriseBois oversaw the Canadiens' AHL affiliate, the Hamilton Bulldogs. The Bulldogs won the 2007 Calder Cup during the first season under BriseBois' direction.

As assistant general manager in Tampa, BriseBois duties included the managing of the Lightning's AHL affiliate, the Norfolk Admirals. During the 2011–12 season the Admirals went on a 28-game win streak to set the record for the longest win streak in professional hockey. The Admirals would then go on and win the Calder Cup championship that season.

BriseBois continued in his role as General Manager of the Lightning's AHL farm team when the team switched their affiliation to the Syracuse Crunch. Under BriseBois guidance, the team reached the Calder Cup finals two times.

I'm not sure that's a full confirmation. I just hope that Prust didn't get it from some years old post of mine commenting on Dubas' glasses being a social signaling fashion accoutrement. It's a total fashion cheat. It's like eye makeup for males.

P.S. That site is probably a gossip site but is claiming that Dubas is shopping Dermott as a shakeup move. Worst shakeup move ever! The team is going to need Dermott next season after Rielly walks.

Sorry, can you just point out where he was the GM of a team prior to being the GM of Tampa.

Edit: just saw he managed the AHL affiliate, so he has similar experience to Dubas. Nice

Moving Dermott is a shakeup move? A number 6 D man making 874,000 a year. This is a major move, this will shake things up? LMAO!

I think he's gotten better since his contract signing fail of the big three. That being said he was the wrong choice between him and Lou and shannahan knows that now.

He's done the best he could since but he tied his own hands beyond repair.

I'll also say that when he did sign the big three he had no idea there was going to be a global pandemic that would out a freeze on the salary cap.

You can try to spin it however you’d like, pandemic or not that Marner contract is abysmal!! A giant anchor on the team, especially when you also factor in 1st rnd pics and other assets that had to be given up in order to sign him to that stupid deal!!
Im not a fan of the Matthews’ deal either, but at least Matthews doesn’t end up on @SS every time he touches the puck, and he can shoot/score.
