Hopefully this is a wakeup call for the rest of the team to get their collective heads out of their asses. They've been sleepwalking through too many games recently and seemingly just waiting for Hughes to work his magic to get things going. These guys had a long break and came back and played like shit versus Vancouver. The playoff stretch starts now and they need to start playing like it.

All I'm thinking about is Cole Caulfield. Hurt himself, played games and then all of the sudden out for the season and required shoulder surgery. Please someone help me get off this ledge I'm on. :scared::scared::scared::scared::scared:

Would someone with access be able to share the player cards of Hischier, Bratt, and Tatar? I want to compare what the defensive metrics for them say.

He should thank him if he did, the tinted visors were so cringey. We used to laugh our asses off at the beer leaguers who wore them.

Ovechkin looked pretty sick in one.

Random beer league bender who wants to be Ovechkin? Yeah that’s a different story.

On the lighter side

Even if thats true, thats a good thing Marty said that. A player who never settles for a disadvantage is a good thing. If he was reading eyes then he definitely SHOULD campaign on no tinted visors.

Ovechkin complaining that Brodeur complained that the visor gives shooters an advantage and complains that he no longer has that advantage lol

What they say: “week to week”

What I hear: “Jack is stepping away from hockey to focus on his health and enjoying the time he has left with his family and friends. He appreciates the support of the Devils and hockey communities and asks for privacy at this difficult time.”
I heard he just wants to spend a few days and have fun at American Dream Mall!!!

lmao why is Ovechkin bringing up 15 year old drama? Dude has better things to do then cry about the visor he wore during the Bush administration.

It was part of the hour special on Ovechkin's career/pursuit of the all time goals scored record that aired just prior to the All Star Game, which is why it came up. Was a good special.

Imagine Jack comes out and says he hurt himself during the all star game when Tkachuk tugged him backwards and it's getting too much to manage...

It’s funny, we have been asking for a legit goal scorer for a while, I think Jack IS that guy. Another play driver and volume shooter would be perfect. Meier is the guy.

A huge question mark has just been introduced into our season. Without Hughes we are not the same team. Say what you will about Ruff and others being upbeat, there’s no credibility at all from our operation when it comes to injuries. Week to week sounds alarmingly vague. At best, fine. At worst . . . Go figure.

They announced Marino was out week to week and he missed 6 weeks. I assume week-to-week means something like 2 to 6 weeks.
