Why the hell are people saying he has no chance of breaking our scoring records and the team will fall to the bubble? If he misses the rest of the month, that’s 9 games.

In case you haven't noticed, the rest of the Metro just refuses to lose. The Rags haven't lost in weeks, NYb are white hot and will undoubtedly win their 5th straight over a VAN team that just doesn't care and are just ready to get out of the NYC metro area, FLA is also white hot and refuses to lose and will not be denied their playoff berth this year. Pitts beat COL the other night and the Craps have only not won because they haven't played any games this week.

I don’t see how Nico gets on the list.

Nico’s been pointless in the last three games (while playing great in the Vancouver game) and had 17 points (w/ 8 goals) in the 14 games before that.

He was awesome in the Vancouver game, it was more so just continuing his torrid pace over the year and a half and now back in the 1C which is a role he hasn't been in for like 2-3 years.

some poster on Reddit, with no source, said Jack accidentally walked into the door during Monday's game... and that he has bruised ribs? :dunno:

I just looked up the comment...the poster said he read that somewhere (of course doesn't say where). That would be quite the fluke injury, but I don't think there's anything to it.

Am I a bad person for thinking ” Meh. maybe that’s good “ that Smith is out and not able to play ?
He's had some really horrible games lately, but I don't honestly think Bahl is better than him or even as good as him. as much as I thought maybe he was earlier in the season.

Definite kick in the balls this Hughes stuff. And it’s only worse because this team has earned no right with injury timelines.

“Week to week” could be anything from two weeks to six months with these idiots.

They don’t give us much information but it hasn’t been wrong info this season.

Ruff making it sound more minor is a good thing. I remember the Marino and Bastian injuries being described as more ominously longterm (even if they didn’t get into any real specifics).

Wasn’t Marino also week to week?

I wonder if this halts any real talks for the Devils until the deadline, just to get a better feel on how long Jack will be out, how well the team does in his absence, etc.

Given that we aren't targeting rentals most likely, I don't think it should

It could go both ways, Fitz could go out and help the team if he sees them hit a rut and Jack's not gonna be back for a bit longer or the team plays great in his absence and gives even more reason to go out for a splash like Meier. In the end, no one knows what's going on besides our management like the Lou days lol

Everyone who isn’t “day to day” or definitely out for months is that.

They made it pretty clear Marino had a serious injury and wasn’t coming back any time soon when it happened. (I’m not digging up quotes because I don’t care that much but that’s how I remember it.)

The Ruff quote about Jack is way more upbeat. If it was more serious Ruff would be gloomier.

Some injuries have a very projectable timeline because it’s surgery, broken bone, etc. Some don’t.

Doctors can’t magically guess the exact date when a specific individual will be healthy enough to play.
