sounds like Arvidsson is hitting UFA. I know he is smaller, but he plays with sandpaper

wasn't he the guy that Jack yelled "people pay to watch me play" at? It was all downhill after that lmao
He'd be an excellent get as well. I want the bottom 6 sprinkled with assholes who can actually play.

Colton gives me pause. He took a step back on a loaded Avs team and just seemed very mediocre away from his Lightning brethren.

I'm not not interested though.

17 goals, 40 points last year. 13.5 minutes a night

16 / 32 the year before, just under 12 minutes a night.

Most common linemates were miles wood and Logan O'Connor. I think he was still him

i just saw on that main boards that mikheyev is likely to get waived/dealt. i don't know much about him, but he seems like a big boy who can carve out a nice spot on someone's bottom 6, but is also injury prone.
Absolutely no reason to acquire him at the full cap hit.

I don't really know by what measure you'd consider he took a "step back".

He produced pretty efficiently given the low TOI and functionally no PP time. The Wood-Colton-LOC line was actually one of the most effective in the league.

No, I'm not serious.

Yeah, he and Dakota Joshua (who I also see mentioned a lot) scare me as guys who could get overpaid for what they actually are.
Joshua is actually good though. I mean everybody sucks if they’re overpaid, but I haven’t seen a bunch of numbers thrown around that are psychotic for him (unlike Z)

I am legally required to disclose I am president of the Dakota Joshua fan club though.

I think Colton would be a great target assuming the price is reasonable. You get him for his prime years (28-30) on a 3x$4M contract, He's produced 39 and 32 points on the Lightning despite playing a bottom 6 role, limited PP time and playing under 13mins a game and in his one year with Colorado he put up 40 points while playing a 3rd line role with under 14mins of playing time and only PP 2 opportunity. He seems like a great fit to play next to Hughes since he can be the primary faceoff guy and provide some physicality to that line.

Wait are we suddenly one of the marquee teams in the league?
I wonder how much of it is team related compared to revenue from The Rock but being 6th in the ahead of Boston, Pitt, Chicago, Detroit, etc is certainly interesting. I know Detroit, Chicago, and Pitt have their issues but being ahead of the golden children was surprising.
