Devils alone hold the most OT games played right now with 16. Chicago is next with 15 and Detroit with 14.

I don't think these numbers are correct. The Devils have played in overtime 25 times this year (14 times decided in OT, 11 times going to shootout).

I'm pretty sure RG's numbers are for OT/SO losses, or points lost after regulation.

We've won 9 of those OT decisions for 9 extra points out of 25 attempts that have gone beyond regulation.

For just getting to OT, only Washington has more than us with 26 games going to OT or beyond.

I'm realistic about our chances but if you want to take the Jim Carrey view of those chances, more power to you. lol.

Theoretically we could make the playoffs at 5-1 (or 4-0-2) if the Jackets go 3-3 and we get two more regulation wins than them...but that'd be cutting it super close. Plus the Leafs and Caps are STILL between us too though we'd only need to tie them in points to pass them. 5-1 for us means the Leafs would need to go minimum 4-0-1 to stay in front of us and the Caps minimum 5-1.

It would be nice if Detroit sagged a bit, but after a tough game tonight against Boston they get Buffalo twice. And I will guarantee that Buffalo won't give 2 ***** about those games unlike when they played us.

We pass the Caps if we win Friday in regulation so that's one and we still control out destiny with passing the Leafs.

5-1 should do it but ya it's tight. Winning out is the only way to really have high odds.

Help if Boston does us a favor tonight here. 4 points behind the Wings with the tiebreaker.

Have to win out and hope caps, Leafs, Ottawa, Carolina and Columbus lose enough times.

Ottawa and Carolina? Ottawa just lost to the same Isles team we **** the bed against and Carolina would only get 89 points at most if they won out. If we get enough points to pass what's in front of us we don't need to worry about what's behind us.

Babcock? The only reason they're anywhere close to the playoffs is Gustav Nyquist. Without him they'd be below us in the standings. Dude has directly won them many games the past month.
