ive always been weirded out by Lindy's having both dmen chase to corners and the entire defensive scheme in general

if that can be changed itd do wonders - we cant expect a defense with three meaty-bois to be flying around the dzone and play well

but idk if Ruff ever changes those things or if he just switches the lineup!!...

They clearly have the ability to play a structured game. We saw that last season. Right now it's not clicking. It's frustrating but there's still a lot of time left and we're missing our 2 top C's.

I'll say I'd like some simpler hockey and more structure while 2 of the top guys are gone.

They were wayyyyy better last year with the same system.

And the year before they sucked with it. How do we know that last year wasn't the outlier?

It shouldn't be so complicated that it turns to complete shit when you get a couple of new players on the roster. I'm very close to being done with Lindy. We have Stanley Cup aspirations, we need to raise expectations for the coaching to match.

Gotta take it game by game with so many guys injured. Jack Nico Nosek Miller Nemec, that’s the Calvary waiting. Try to get a win against the Caps at home and then focus on the next game.

Nemec isn't injured anymore. He's been back for 2-3 games with Utica.

Ruff just says the players have to play harder but tactically the swarm, which nobody else has tried to adopt since the Devils began using it, only needs small tweaks.

This game is on the players though. Poor decision making. Poor puck management. They have to be better and are capable of being better.

ill give him credit and say he adjusted game 3 vs the Rangers but we need to see that level of adjustment before next game

Two games out of 1st in the conference after 12 gms. Great position to be in. Focus on the caps and focus on getting healthy
