You know exactly what it’s gonna beCan’t wait until next game so the narrative around the team switches to the next thing.
“we struggle against big and heavy teams and that’s why we don’t beat Washington” lol.

it seriously is thoughGrass is always greener elsewhere.
Definitely not a soft team.
They are being coached to not initiate. It's not their game or part of their system.
Plenty of grit on this squad.
Losing two top 4 defenders to UFA and two major injuries leads to last night.
And I "probably" don't give a sh*t what that never-will-be has-been neanderthal says.
You know what I'd love? A Matthew Tkachuk, Tom Wilson type. Tkachuk is/was EXACTLY the type of player this team needed/needs.Are people ignorant or intentionally conflating goonery with physical players?
I mean I think everyone knows that they aren't remotely the same thing?
We all would love one of those players. Every team would love one of those players. Which is why they're rarely available.View attachment 765201

Except that player still wouldn't have deterred someone like Colton or Trouba or Marchand from cheap shots and dirty hits.We all would love one of those players. Every team would love one of those players. Which is why they're rarely available.
Severson and Graves aren't top defenders though, and the biggest offenders on the blueline have been Siegs, Marino, and Dougie.
Siegs was better last not as far as advanced stats go, but Marino was awful, and the short handed goal was all because Dougie's brain stopped working. Bahl had the worst game of his career, but he was also clearly hobbled from blocking shots earlier in the game.
Smith is Smith, he sucks, but the guy we brought in to play that spot got injured long term so they are in a bit of a bind
This is what i was saying,I'm not sure Nico or Jack make much of difference in that game honestly. Jack by himself can turn the possession game around but neither one of those guys are going to do much for the lopsided physical play we saw last night ...in fact, that is why both of them are out right now.
Something has to be done or we will just get the bitch treatment all season.
Sure. My comment was less about "deterrance" and more about that type of shit disturber that is also a good player being valuable and not often acquired.Except that player still wouldn't have deterred someone like Colton or Trouba or Marchand from cheap shots and dirty hits.
nobody deters anyone from doing anything anymore.Except that player still wouldn't have deterred someone like Colton or Trouba or Marchand from cheap shots and dirty hits.

Correct on both accounts, guys.nobody deters anyone from doing anything anymore.
I think we beat them once last year at home when Jack had a hat trick lol. It was an extremely rare blowout win over them.Correct on both accounts, guys.
So can Friday come quickly so we can beat the Caps at home for the first time in a million years? Thanks.
It was literally one single poster. We had people in here last night saying we need Ryan Reaves
