Honestly after this move and picking up Zacha, we could've picked 3 other goalies and I would've still called this a win for us.

Kind of agree. We bolstered our forwards quite a bit IMO with just those two moves. Speers is another interesting addition.

I am happy. Definitely happy to have Kyle.

He's been on my wish list since we didn't draft him. I definitely want Zacha to go back, but our 2nd round pick essentially turned into a top 6 player who will make an impact overnight. Gotta be thrilled with that.

Definitely want Zacha to have a year in Juniors too. 5 game look at best to give him a taste and know what to work on, but that is it.

I like Kyle a lot too so I'm with you. Excited for this trade.

True, he would have prorated as a 20-20 player last year.

You never know. he is an extremely streaky player...like Henrique/Langenbrunner streaky. Pure extrapolation to say he could have been 17-20 or 26-25. The good news is that such a baseline ability is still more than fine in the numbers department when you evaluate in comparison to his tenacity/work ethic and the fact that we got him at a discount.

You can't forget that palmeiri played less than 15 minutes per game. His totals will go up with more ice time.

Palmeiris career points and shots per 60 numbers look very good.

I'd take this guy being comparable to EITHER of those players you named in a second.

I'm surprised DD isn't popping champagne over getting a Jersey guy here.

I'm just glad that we were able to get a player to fill an immediate need.

It might make watching the team next year a little bit more bearable. Last year was just awful.

Glad to see this OFFICIAL.

Never thought I would see a young(24) cost-controlled proven NHL forward(a Top-6'er for that matter) get acquired for just about nothing. This looked like a Lou move, in a way.

Good Job, Ray!
