He will be a top 6 player for you. he played top line with Getz and Perry and second line with Kelser and did well. problem was they liked the big body in Maroon on the top line and Silferberg improved so much and took Palmieri's job on the second line. He is not really a third line player, so just like Bobby Ryan there was not a set spot for him.

You will like his game, always a threat to score when he has the puck.

Sounds like just what we need.

Is he a guy that can be a true true top 6 player in his own regard?
Or more of a piece that can jump up in a stacked top 6?

Some of this talk about frolik and all...

...has there been ANY indication by Shero or anyone in Devils Management that showed any interest in acquiring him? :dunno:

Pardon the OT, btw.

Don't get your hopes up too high, don't be disappointed when he's 15-15 on the season

Maybe if he only plays 50-60 games....

On this team he is a legit scoring threat. Speaks more to our weak forward group but he does have the ability to put up points.

young, upcoming forward at the age of 24 for future considerations of a 2nd/3rd round pick in a <<weak>> draft?

this is what we exactly need... bring them,

15-15 is basically his production now. On a low scoring team with no top 6. 30 points is probably about right.

Semin's two way play is underrated. A third line of Elias-Gomez-Semin would be interesting for me. Eriksson still put away 22 goals last season and was responsible defensively.

I rather Shero finds another player in similar state as Palmieri was in. A young aspiring top 6 player on a stacked team. Trade Gelly+ for a player like that instead of picking up a 30+ expensive on the downhill forward.

15-15 was his production in a lesser role. I see no reason he can't tick up to at least 20-20 with more of a set top six spot here.

20 goals would be fantastic.

If we just added a 24 year old 20 goal scoring RW with speed without giving up any of our young Dmen, that is a home run.

I still think we paid a pretty penny in this deal. #41 and a 3rd next year seems like a lot to me. I would've of preferred a 3rd this year and 3rd next year or #41 this year and a 4th or 5th next year...I'm splitting hairs I suppose, I certainly wouldn't have let this deal go but I would've liked to have paid slightly less.

Really happy about this! Love Palmieri, hope he flourishes here with a better opportunity for ice time.

Anyone know if he worked with Hynes at all in the US Development Program? Sorry if it was brought up already, Ive been out of the loop for most of the night.

Failed to mention last night that Kyle Palmieri played under John Hynes in U.S. National Team Development Program. Jon Merrill also there.

Can we just make this official already or is this gonna turn into another trip to the fireworks factory?

You'd have to think it becomes official in the next couple hours unless there's something even more kooky going on. Is Palmeri doing mountain climbing or something? :P
