"everything's been positive" but no timetable eh

that doesn't sound that positive to me.
It could have been

positive results for the team are likely no signs of long-term Damage/trouble, mobility, and comfortability.

an injury doesnt have to be worse than it was originally diagnosed for it to take longer than expected to heal

Though it definitely sucks not having Nico; just means Jack will have to take an extra step earlier than expected, which could end up better for us in the long run (as long as Jack doesnt then complain about less ice time)

I warmed up on Ruff after hearing some speculation about how he might put his system in Dallas into play here. The fact that he’s so high on Yegor in spite of barely knowing who he was a few months ago, and being equally high on Hughes, also makes me think the “he prefers vets” criticism was based on nothing. (Then again that attack is true against every NHL coach ever)

I personally don’t mind if Hischier doesn’t play at all this season. It’s a short season, presumably we’ll be fun to watch but short of a playoff spot. What’s the rush?

He’s hasn’t played competitive hockey since March for one. He needs to get back out there and continue to develop.

No way, Nico missing the season would be terrible.

Yeah how I took it. They don't think it's a long term damage issue.

If it was a high ankle sprain then it's basically it's better when it feels better type thing.

Him being in a boot and not being in one anymore is at least some progress.

It’s only been two games, I know it’s a shortened season but it’s still four months long. I’m not giving up on all of February yet, let’s just see how it goes.

I know Jack needs to work on his slapper but he is getting too much shit on that attempt at the end of the game. The puck was rolling and he was in a hurry to get it off in the dying seconds, thats a big whatever.

He almost certainly thought he didn't have as much time as he did, you can't always take a peek at the clock when you're racing up ice.

Also add in the fact that he had 600 lbs skating towards him at full speed lol

It's getting memed solely because he fell. If he didn't fall then no one would say anything about it

I also took no timetable at face value. It most likely isn't a break where the time frame is pretty cut and dry.

If it's a ligament injury then it's basically better when it gets better. They can linger longer then you would expect, and there is zero reason to rush him back and potentially make it worse.

Might as well just wait until it's 100%. I suspect once he starts skating he will be back pretty soon after that.

Uhhhhhh...

I don't know how all this works, is that more on the US or Finnish end? If it was the Finnish end then maybe it'll only be an issue for Vatanen and not Bratt. If it's the US then we could be waiting a while for both Bratt and Vatanen

Can't be a Finnish issue since Bratt is in Sweden.

Can it?
