Haha!

I'm far from that but I know someone who has connections and this is what's being shared with me.

That's pretty cool

Random memory unlocked:
I remember one time years ago I was at the Stars practice and Jim Nill came out to talk to the media (Heika and the boys) by the autograph area and I overheard him say that Chicago had traded away/acquired a dman, don't recall which one. Few minutes later that news broke and that dman was acquired by someone. Also remember him saying we didn't get anybody which was disappointing

so i assume no Seguin to LTIR then?

Seguin will probably go on the LTIR, but there's no need for the Stars to go get a forward when they have Borkoven right there to take over top 6 ice time.

The bigger question would be, if they add two D men, who sits and who stays?

What would likely be ideal is that Nils goes on LTIR and just hangs around this year.

Harley-Heiskanen
Lindell-Tanev
Suter-Murphy
Hanley/Hakanpaa

I expect to hear that soon.
If that "shopping list" is accurate, It'll be true even if they add them (save tanev)

Maybe they can jettison Hanley and Hakanpaa somehow

They could, yeah, but there's still 20 something games left plus injuries in the playoffs could occur and depth is important.

They're also cheap enough that it doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things.

Can confirm all the Texas Stars players are accounted for tonight. Gavin White isn't playing but he didn't last game either. Might just be injured

Looks like it'll be for NHLers or picks or both

My guess is either Gavin White or someone not in the AHL. All the other Texas guys are playing

Better than Bourque or Bichsel like the Flames fans were demanding lol
Lol yeah im just weird about Grush. Hated the pick at the time but learned about him and watched his game and thought he might turn into a decent 2nd pair shutdown guy like Esa. Oh well Chris Tanev>>>>

I didn't realize it was double retention until I read the Stars press release and saw the cap hit on Cap Friendly. Lower cap hit than Hakanpaa.
