Kreider and Zibanejad had a lot of success together last year. If you're going to change the lines why would you not first go to that? It's a combination that we know works. This is the New York Rangers. Not the New York Kakkos.
Kakko has not been great. Kreider has not been great. All things being equal, the guy with the track record is going to get the so-called promotion ahead of the 18 year old with absolutely no track record.

By this logic, they should have swapped Panarin and Kreider, to fall back on the KZB line. That's what worked
I've been saying this since the day we signed Panarin. Playing him and Zibanejad on the same line is a bad plan with the state of our centers.
You mean to say "in your opinion", right? Because that is all you have is your opinion. Seems to me that other opinions differ from yours. They have not been equal. There are more options than "great" or "not great"
Spreading the talent would be good to give us some depth. What Quinn is doing reminds me a lot of Torts trying desperately to create that juggernaut line with Gaborik, Richards and Nash.
Perhaps he is simply not letting youngsters get into roles that they 10 have not earned 2) are not ready for?Spreading the talent would be good to give us some depth. What Quinn is doing reminds me a lot of Torts trying desperately to create that juggernaut line with Gaborik, Richards and Nash.
Yes, there are things that are non-negotiable like being 18 and having too much skill.Come again? There ARE things that are "non-negotiable". The faster Kakko learns that the better.
The youngsters are going to come against players that have more talent. That is where the "non-negotiables". Come in. Herb Brooks said it best.
So he should have a different set of rules than all the other players because you claim he is too much skill? One set for everyone and a set of Kakko rules? Kakko rule stating that he needs to do nothing else that is demanded of each and every other player?Yes, there are things that are non-negotiable like being 18 and having too much skill.

Howden has a different set of rules.
Me. I will take on the responsibility of being the HF whipping boy.Any suggestions as to who you would get as coach those of you that want a new one? Someone that's available

Of course. It is completely logical to presume that Quinn loves Howden so much that he gives one set of rules for the entire team, including long term veterans and one set of rules just for Brett Howden. How crazy of me not to make the connection.Howden has a different set of rules.
You want me to find 5 fans on a message board who think that an 18 year old rookie should be playing on the top line? THAT is a way to validate your position? Really? Come on, AK. You are FAR better than that. That type of argument was like the genius who claimed that the amount of "likes" he has means that his argument is valid.Find me 5 people here who think Kreider has been better than Kakko this season so far, and I will admit I was wrong.

I think that he has been no worse and if I was the coach of the team, I would 100% go with the veteran with the track record ahead of a pretty mundane 18 year old.Ok, let me ask you then. Do you think Kreider has been better than Kakko so far this season?
Kakko has looked better than Buchnevich and Kreider but this is sort of like a rookie QB situation. You really don't want to make him The Guy until you're sure he's going to keep it. This is NYC it'll be a social media gongshow if he gets first line reps then gets demoted.
