Good luck to MLSE convincing Luongo to come here now.
Why the hell would he want to enter this circus.

BOB MCCOWAN BOB MCCOWAN BOB MCCOWAN BOB MCCOWAN BOB MCCOWAN BOB MCCOWAN BOB MCCOWAN BOB MCCOWAN BOB MCCOWAN BOB MCCOWAN!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't give a flying **** about that ******, nor do I care about how to spell his name correctly. He doesn't deserve the time of day, let alone the effort to spell his name correctly or even care about it.

However it is rather entertaining that you care so much about an extra "a" in Bob McCowans name.

I don't know you but I'll go out on a limb and say that he's accomplished a lot more in the sporting world than you'll ever manage. So while I don't believe what Bob said is true, I won't dismiss everything else McCown says outright because of it. I certainly won't let it affect me enough to get mad over it.

I don't believe this is just about Luongo. With that contract, the new owners probably DIDN'T want him to do any deal.

I think the new owners had five months of seeing what a porcupine Burke is in his demeanor, saw that they had almost the exact same knowledge base and experience in Nonis, saw the last 4 years of almost no progress at all, and said "Why are we paying this guy $6 million a year again?" Buh-bye.

I wonder if the lockout is part of the reason.

We've heard whispers that some teams were not happy there was a lockout at all, and maybe Burke was in Gary's corner encouraging him in this lockout.

People here have said Burke had a big part in this lockout, maybe he's now paying the price for it.

Van: Bozak, Kadri, Defense man, Biggs + 2nd rounder
TO: Luongo
ie. over pay to get a better chance to get that final 8th spot.

TO is going to be selling farm to get into that final spot every year just to lose in the first round because it is extremely profitable. Burke would not agree to this and was canned.

It is ****ing pathetic and this may push me over the edge. If they pick up Luongo and obviously over pay for him, good game, the Leafs will never win a Stanley Cup.

You know when Bob McCowan went on about Nonis dismantling Burkes team, having success and calling Burke a failure... that rant.

That crazy Bob McCowan.

I watched the bit he had with Lawton and didn't see him hating Burke there. We may be thinking different things, or maybe I've taken too many pucks to the head and forgot it already. ;)

I'm switching to PTS to see how he feels now.

Best thing that happens, Burke advises to Nonis for rebuild year, so he deals CMac, Grabo, Connolly, Lombardi, Komisarek, Steckel, for picks.
Cmac-1st
Grabo for 1st+A- prospect
Connolly-2nd
Lombardi-3rd
Komisarek-5th
Steckel-4th
bottom 2 1sts to as high as we can go. ******* Luongo and Gillis. Give Lupul 6/2 years to get him to stay the years

More in the sporting world, sure, I don't work in sports. I'll also go on a limb and say I have accomplished more in the business world than you, however, that is just as irrelevant.

I don't dismiss everything he says, I think he knows baseball really well. I also think he is a *******, and I do not respect him or anything he says regarding the Leafs.

I am not upset, I also do not accept what he says, I think it is asinine.

Burke has no eye for talent in the crease. Nonis does. If he gets Luongo, he will put a piece in place that has been missing since the days of Cujo. I'm sure Leafs fans look back on those years more fondly than the last 8 seasons.

Are you saying Burke does not recognize Luongo is a good goalie?
