Benn-Johnston-Dadonov
Canucks lead 3-1 on the road.
Watch him score 20.

That’s it, we lost the trade!Steal for Dallas
He skated like a madman and he finished with a nice deke. Is that the same Dadonov who played for us?Shine all you want, just don't to beat the Canucks tonight. Help Dallas tonight the way you helped our tank for most of the season.
It can take a little while to adjust to a new team. Take your time.
it's getting real tough rooting for these crappy teams to get points against playoff teams. Real tough. He skated like a madman and he finished with a nice deke. Is that the same Dadonov who played for us?
Nice goal by Dadonov
Absolutely.
The problem wasn't the player, it was the team.
R.I.P
What is Gorton? The demiurge?Hughes is father god and Nicholas the Holy Spirit...
George Costanza "opposite day" or week or month, the most successful period in his life where he always did the opposite of what his best logic would compel him to do. In all my years here many of us are like this and even like economists, or lowest of expectations and speculative prognostications become our biggest surprises. Funny how life can work like that sometimes. I wonder if there is a name for this phenomenon.I'll be surprised if Gurianov is with the Habs for long. Hope he proves me wrong.
I think that the 4th line of Pezzetta - Tierney - Belzile is a useless 4th line. When we contend, Pezzetta and Belzile better not even be in the conversation. Therefore, I don't see the point of watching them.I'd rather see the young guys than the washed up old guys. And when Gallagher, Armia, Dadonov, Drouin, and Hoffman were all in the lineup at the same time, there was only so much room for the young guys.
I really have liked RHP - especially what he's done for Anderson. And I've liked Ylonen's speed, and how he's become more comfortable of late. He was a little manic at first, but has started to get comfortable. I would have loved to have see him opposite Pitlick, but with Evans centering them. Evans has been good centering two speedsters. Those lines dominate the ice and puck possession.
And I respect the grind 4th line of Pez-Tierney-Belzile.
Then you got Gurianov with Suzuki. I would much rather see Dvo on the wing with those 2, than Hoffman. But at least Hoffman has been better of late. So looking forward to seeing it. Hopefully the line does well, Hoffman does well, and impresses all the scouts watching enough to get moved.
A lot to watch out for!
Perfect reception, nice deke.
See Habs players aren't that bad
Beauviller continues to outproduce Horvat..4-2 Nucks.
He has to accept a deal at a lower cap hit... If they don't qualify him he can just walk and sign with any other team in the league.pretty sure can they just not qualify him at that amount but negotiate a longer deal like what happened with Pitlick this past summer.
If he plays remotely well, I’m sure they’ll bring him back but at a lower salary.
Probably better to have a coach who was a successful player rather than a coach who was bitter about not making it. Not so much the not making it as the bitterness. Not surprised by Marty’s line of thinking, as he was pre-judged all of his life and proved everyone wrong.
A valuable life lesson as he won’t do unto others what was done to him.
Yes correct...so in this scenario, let's say he plays well and the Habs are interested in bringing him back, they offer him a 2 year deal say at 3M instead of his 1 year 2.9M qualifying offer. He has to accept a deal at a lower cap hit... If they don't qualify him he can just walk and sign with any other team in the league.
When Pitlick was not qualified last summer we all thought he was gone.
Tempted to say `s... luck` but it`s more then that. We get opportunities in life and it`s what we do with them. Ilya Kovalchuk a few years ago the Kings believed was done. He came to the Habs and for a few weeks reminded folks how good he could be. Too bad he`s not around now because sounds like Gurianov could use a mentor.George Costanza "opposite day" or week or month, the most successful period in his life where he always did the opposite of what his best logic would compel him to do. Kovalchuck and Perry were two great vet players . Too bad they were not around for longer time.Tempted to say `s... luck` but it`s more then that. New team, 1st day, had some adrenaline.Dadonov must've really hated playing in Montreal. He showed more effort on his first goal with the Stars than in any game for the Canadiens .
Did you not see the actual structure that lead to the break. Habs could never do that when nobody’s knows where anybody is or is supposed to be. Dadanov always hustled when he playedDadonov must've really hated playing in Montreal. He showed more effort on his first goal with the Stars than in any game for the Canadiens .
Would of rather got a draft pick
NahWould of rather got a draft pick
I think that HuGo have a flair for projects like this with a fighting chance. For the first time in decades, we also have a coach who understands that coaching is a weighted sum of nurturing young talent as well as winning, rather than winning to the exclusion of any other consideration. What pick would we have gotten? A 4th?
Tbh, Gurianov is prob a better project than anyone we could have gotten then.
