Is 17 and 29 a good record ? 1 goal season better ?
Ok, so both 19 year olds aren't good enough to carry the worst teams in their respective mens leagues. Who cares? What's with everyone on here wasting the time to come in to threads about other teams prospects to be pointlessly negative? We don't know which of these players are gonna end up better for years anyways.

Man you really cannot follow an argument. It started here:
Pretty sure if Austria had Michkov instead of Reinbacher they would have beaten Kazakhstan...
There's been no claim of Reinbacher carrying a team or being able to do so. The claim was that Michkov would've carried the Austrian team and that was refuted.

Just like he helped Sochi to a 23-38 record last year, right?

The difference between Sochi and most KHL teams was way bigger than Michkov. You can't say the same about Austria and Kazakhstan. I'd say Austria was actually the better team, but it lacked true goascorers to overcome Kazakh's goalie.

Reinbacher doesn't have game breaking abilities while Michkov does...

As the other poster showed, 23-38 isn’t breaking anything other than your misplaced faith in Michkov being a game breaker

If you still need the basic breakdown, one is an offensive forward who plays little defence, and the other is a smooth-skating defensive D-man, learning the 2-way game.

Why would you use (game-breaking) offensive production as a metric when comparing the 2 players, if you were genuinely interested?

Bedard was -44 last season... And tell me that McDavid is great defensively. Or Kucherov. Or Kane. Even Crosby's so called 2-way game has always been way overrated. Gamebreaking offensive talents usually do what they are best in...

That's a nice narrative. Zero substance to it, but that never gets in the way of hot takes.

"Game breaking abilities" is a fun hyperbole... When it comes to winning championships, impact isnt about cliches or highlight reels.

Remains to be seen how either of these players will adapt to and impact the NHL. Pretending otherwise is nothing more than hot air

Tell this Chicago fans about Bedard...
Only 3 players over the last 20 years has entered the league and were instantly game breaking talents. Crosby, McDavid and for some odd reasons, Matthews.

These were the only players that entered the league and made their team go from bottom of the cave to playoff contenders. I can guarantee you that neither Reinbacher or Michkov will have that kind of impact on their respective team right now.

Throwing Bedard’s name in there doesn’t help your point, it make it an even worst take.

106 points rookie season Ovi doesn't match your criteria to get on that list? o_0

He was literally a 50 goal scorer from day 1.

His team finished last in their conference in his first year. While he was outstanding in his first year, it wasn’t enough to bring his team to a playoff contender level. Same applies to Bedard.

Game breaking means (at least to me) that player X had such a huge impact that it brought his team from the basement to fighting for a playoff spot the next season
