I really liked him at his first WJHC.

I also wanted to shoot him out of a cannon in his second WJHC (him and has who is now in the ECHL).

He reminded me a lot of one of my all time favs from the WJHC... Spacek. Who also didn't make the NHL so you are probably right!

Do you feel Czech skating is improving? The same or worse?

The same.. There are plenty of players who don't have a problem with skating, but they aren't that good hockey players :)
 


Edit - I forgot to mention that this gave him goals in 3 straight games. He also picked up an assist in OT (not much of a play, just a bump in the neutral zone to the eventual goal scorer who did all the work in the offensive zone) and is on a 6-game point streak and has goals in 3 straight game.

It's a weird list with some superstars and some busts. Let's hope he's more Prospal then Dome.

This was Kulich's assist. He was on with Rousek for the OT. Again, Davies (the goal scorer) does most of the work:

 


This sucks.. Voracek with a press conference tomorrow after a concussion that maybe resmebles a stroke?

Voracek is by far one of my fav all time Czech players.. I hope this is not a retirement!

Czech hockey is not very deep and now we're down Voracek, Palat and Vrana which I'd say are Top 6 guys in the NHL and for us!

Voráček is one of my favorite Czech players in history.. Very bad news..:(

He did NOT retire.. but he's out for a long time. 7 to 8 concussions, in his 30's. Has a family. This is Jerry McGuire!

I don't like the Flyer's and almost bought a Flyer's Voracek jersey.. that's how much I like him.lol

He's one of only a few guys walking around with a gold medal that still can represent the Czechs - him and Cervenka. Maybe a few more but drawing a blank.

Even I wouldn't have guessed this good! I looked and he's getting less minutes this year and doing better. I think he was 'all alone' back there for a few seasons and now has support for miles. Few less minutes and a much more structured team and he looks lights out! OR he's the only fluke in the top 16 because all the guys around him are legit (I'm a huge Lindholm fan and would be fine with any of these guys on the Oiler's blue line.lol)

Kulich moving from wing to center for the first time in AHL action tonight. Continues with Rosen, will have Kisakov on the other wing.
 
Also, sounds like Kulich should have no issue going per his AHL coach this morning who talked about how excited the organization and players are to have them playing at the U20's. It's very much the un-DRW approach.

Czechs have an amazing history of getting a major injury at every tournament.. so I expect Kulich to slip on a patch of ice on the way to the plant flying to eastern Canada.lol.

To your other post... Glad they're trying him out as C at the pro level.. I've always thought of him as a potential top 6 wing... But if he wants to become a top 6 C then even better!

Fun stat of the day.. Pasternak, hronek and vanecek are top 5 for their respective points, points by D and save percentage.

Real curious if he can keep this up for 82 games? I thought he was better than he had been but he's currently better than I would've ever guessed.

3 Czech whipping boys with a nice comeback tour this season... Necas, Hronek and Zacha were constantly trashed last year. All are doing good to great right now!

Just need to get the other 3 whipping boys to get going.. Hajek, Zadina and Zboril. Then Kaut.lol

Kaut clears waivers... back in AHL. In fairness to Colorado, he was given a fair look and even had top 6 time. I think he needs a different team to go to. Eg. Sedlak was doing nothing in Colorado and now is getting minutes and points in Philly. No knock in Colorado as they are elite. Curious how this Kaut thing ends and if he ever becomes an NHL regular. Currently, Lukas Sedlak is winning.

Probably my fav name in Czech hockey. Not sure if he becomes an NHLer. Has some opportunity at WJHC as we are weak at forward and any offense from forwards is welcome!

Also, Rittich had a very good game last night! We have 4 goalies above .900 (low bar) and 2 below right now (Mrazek and Rittich).
 
The Kulich-at-center experiment lasted one game and he went back to wing. He left last night's game and is missing today's game due to illness.
