He's top 25 in scoring! We have 3 Czechs in the Top 25... even better.. 2 in the Top 5. Only nation that can say that .. .today.lol
I really don't want to apologize too much for the complete debacle of Czech hockey, because it is indisputable, but the U16 is half a different team than the one that won twice against the Slovaks and our U20 b team played against the Swedes. But soon our teams will lose to the Swedes U17 and then our A team U20. It just takes a little time and the debacle will be perfect

It's not very encouraging... Our little run of semi finals is coming to a close. I'm excited for WJHC but not expecting a semi. I thought after the Colorado tournament that our team is equipped very well individually. Compared to the real top, it is not. And then there's the phlegmatic approach at the end of the match.. Svozil plays like that all the time, he's probably used to it, even though it often bothers me. But come on, he can hold the puck. Compared to how the top defenders of other teams play, they seem lazy. But the highlight was the performance during the final power play, all four players were literally sliding on the ice, as if we didn't even have to win, as if we didn't have the perfect opportunity to do so. I was angry. And what Jiříček did was not bad luck, but just the continuation of our players' careless play and underestimation of the situation. And the well-deserved punishment came.

We play Sweden in 4 hours.. curious how that looks! I will miss a lot of it unfortunately... Come in for third period or so.
I do like several of the players tbh
.. fibigr, svozil, jiricek, jecho, benak, milota, Klima, kos.
All could still be drafted one day or become good. If we keep this 2 first rounders a year thing going we will get good at senior level again.
What concerns me is that I just don't see any D that really excites me... I was hoping to see Tomas galvas for this reason. Or badinka but he's the wrong age group.
Jakub galvas is still in AHL which sucks!
To the defenders.. Fibigr plays quite well, a surprise for me, I didn't expect anything from him.. But I expected more from Jiříček and Svozil.
Badinka didn't play badly, but one simply expects more from a defenseman who supposedly could be in the first round of the draft. But we played against USA..
I am convinced that the team would be much better with those two defenders, of course especially Galvas would definitely have a significant impact on the game, or at least he would be the best player for us again.. Well, his brother has been doing well in points lately, from what I've seen, maybe he'll be called up..

Looks like he's getting a good look. However, Kaut also started several games in top 6 and then finished with less than 9 minutes several times. I hope he gets a good look too.
Rousek is "okay" per his coach and the guy who hit him in the head got suspended for a game.
Congratulations to Matěj Blümel. His first NHL goal, and actually a pretty one! I have been saying for some time this guy is going to make some impact it the top hockey. He has been improving dramatically each season. Was not considered a top prospect when he was 18, but now, in the age of 22, he is developing into a really good player with great skating and interesting stickhandling skills.

If he eventually plays for Czechs then great! If he's going to play for USA then I hope he's not as good as his Dad.lol
Joking of course but it is frustrating to lose some good players to other nations... Bonk, Hejduk, PIvonka and maybe Fischer.
Also, while Czechs make a LOT of mistakes - this one was bad luck. His Dad was fantastic and developed a heart condition. Czechs lose a very good D.

Teply is having himself a nice season. 8pts in his last 10 games. I had written him of a bit after the coach called him out for being out of shape and an awful World Juniors but here he is rising up again!
Galvas should be getting the call soon, right... right!.. right?
Feel bad for Zohorna.
Kulich with a slow down which I'm fine with as he's 18 and in the AHL
Jiricek on fire!
Reichel is another bottom 6 NHLer I hope gets a call soon
Disapointed in Jenik... he's warming up though but starting to look like the next Spacek. Hope I'm very wrong.

To me.. Vanecek is our best goalie and doing very well in NJ. Francouz had a very slow start and is heating up big time. I like Georgiev a lot (wanted him on my Oilers) but see no reason why he's better than Francouz. I think they are quite equal. Vejmelka is doing very well given his circumstances... I keep hoping he gets traded to a team not trying to finish dead last.lol Mrazek is on a very weak team but doing well for himself. Talk about ups and downs.
Rittich is still in the NHL
Biggest disapointment is Vladar who I actually think is the best of the bunch (eye test only) but it's not happening.
I honestly don't like Reichel. As a young player, he had perhaps the greatest patronage I experienced in our corrupt environment, a completely average player..
To Vladař.. Markstrom is not catching as well as last year, the fans are asking what is going on with him.. Vladař will get another chance after a long time and he is catching excellently, the coach praises him and says that he will catch more than last season. Meanwhile, Markstrom catches I think the next five games in a row.. I don't understand.
