In a similar situation, this player was initially selected to play for Finland in 2007 U20 Worlds but was found ineligible. Now he would be able to reprsent Finland in WC if he was good enough.

The bad... Zboril as a healthy scratch. Lauko sent to AHL... I am no longer a Bruins fan.lol.

The good... Kral, jiricek and blumel all got called up. No idea if they get a game in but that could be 3 more guys.

Kempny had a beauty first game for Sparta.

Sale and hrabal.both got A rating.

I assume you're talking about all the people who went to Kunlun for 2+ years and then played for China at the Olympics(and so fulfill the 2 year rule)?
I assume he has in mind many players (there were what, around 5?) who did not fit the 2-year criteria (or 4-year in Werek's case) and were still allowed to represent China.

Also let's be real here, what Belarus, Kazakhstan or Italy are doing doesn't even come close to China. They bump themselves 5 places at best in the IIHF pyramid due to the import program. In most cases, the best players on those teams are still native ones (especially for a country like Belarus that has almost always produced some NHL-level talent). While in China's case, it would be ~15 spots and the players they get are 3 tiers above the local ones.

Klok on unconditional waivers. My fav euro D is going home to join Kempny (who was stretchered off today after a nasty leg gash).

2 D gone and it's not Halloween yet. Will help our worlds team as both could make it. Curious where Klok lands. Think he should've stuck it out but don't know the situation.

Jiricek debuts tonight

Just sayin.lol

We are up to 25 skaters after Jiricek's debut. Blumel should be soon.

6 goalies so far and all of them under .900. Ouch

Next Czechs up? hmmm... here is my guess... Blumel, Dostal and Rousek.

Well shit! He's very important for Czechs as he's a very good D that could carve out an NHL career. Not Norris level or anything like that.

AHL - 2 D are gone back to Europe - Kempny and Klok (grr)
3 have gotten 'the call' and played a game
Blumel has been called up and sent back without a game but seems REAL close
I though Galvas would play before Kral to be honest. Rousek seems likely at some point. I have no idea what Frk needs to do to get a regular NHL spot. Poor guy tries so hard.

I'm big on our bottom 6 kids in Zohorna, Reichel, Klapka, Kondelik - all doing well and curious if they get a call at all? They are all probably 1 or 2 injuries away from 10 minutes a night in the NHL.

Klok leaving could help Knot get to NHL.

Jenik is going to end up being the next Michal Spacek - a player I absolutely love that ends up in Europe. Hope I'm dead wrong.

I'd keep Mysak in the AHL all year. Next year is his year.

3 other D to watch...

Jiricek - got torched on the 7th goal in a 7-1 loss
Kral - got benched in third last night
Galvas - doing well in AHL and Seth Jones is hurt... this may be his opening

Surprised by this... not sure what the source is but Rousek should absolutely stay and gut it out.. he's close.

As expected, this is made up nonsense. No reason for Rousek to leave, especially not for Sparta who are absolute mess these days lol.

Thank you! I think he has a good chance of getting some games in for buffalo.

Rousek also picked up another pair of assists, giving him 2-6-8 in 8 games played with Rochester.

I hope they keep Kulich in AHL till WJC. I hope Rousek gets a call ASAP. Not sure how Buffalo is for depth or what position he is fighting for though. He strikes me as a bottom 6 energy guy at the NHL level or a damn good Extraliga player.

If Rousek was a defenseman, he'd be up already since they have been hit with a rash of injuries on the blueline. With the log jam at forward though, it'll probably take multiple concurrent forward injuries (which I'm not hoping for in the least) for Rousek to get an early season recall. Biro and probably based on camp/play Weissbach might go up first, but as you said, Rousek has the wheels and is widely praised by their minor league and dev coaches so he could probably fit a lower line role right out of the gate.

Hey, let's trot out famous celebrities to fix our hockey problem. THey have no training. No experience. No education. BUT they are famous.

Gretzky was a shitty coach. Most GM's and coaches are not former star players but plugs or guys that played in the AHL.
