It's not necessarily a problem, but it definitely comes with certain culture issues in a room. I think the culture with our room right now is going perfectly, I'm not saying a guy like Michkov would wreck that but I would definitely look at other options if possible.

Well obviously to be a top tier pro at nearly anything you have to be extremely confident. But you have to ride that line between confident and arrogant, some guys never figure that out. That is evident even on these boards and most posters aren't even good lol.

I think having a room that likes and plays for each other is working out great. Do you really want to bring in players that could ruin that after all this excitement? I like the path we're on, and I agree with HuGo when they've said many times that they'll be careful with who they bring into that locker room.

I'm sure Michkov is going to produce, he obviously is a very talented guy there's never been a question there. However I take issue with people who want to ignore the obvious issues with the guy because we didn't draft him. It's OK for him to be talented and yet have lots of holes in his game like damn people just chill.

If he played for us people would be blasting him in every game day thread without question.

I don't think anybody is claiming he's a Selke candidate with the humility of Patrice Bergeron, just that a guy with his talent is going to provide far more value to a team on the ice than any intangible value he may take away off it.

Montreal didn't take him which, in my opinion, was a mistake (although I think/hope Reinbacher can be a solid 2/3D if healthy, anything more is a bonus), and then got lucky that Demidov fell to them. I'd rather have both than just one of them, but I'm happy with Demidov and Reinbacher. Just don't see any need to cope by suggesting he's some locker room cancer or that he's Mailloux-level defensively.

Reinbacher wasn't a third-round pick. He was a 5th overall (would have been top ten regardless of who drafted) because of what he's done and what he can do.

He played in a men's league at 17. He played well. Apparently better than Josi did. He was the best damn on the Rocket in the few games he's played there. He's 6'4, has a high IQ, strength, good skating, a decent shot, and is an RHD.
